NSIS Error - Please Help.

Ive recently downloaded a mod for Battlefield1942 - Desert Combat. Being the biggest BF mod I decided to download it except I get an error:

Installer corrupted or incomplete

This could be the result of a failed download or corruption from a virus.

If desperate, try the /NCRC command switch line (NOT recommended)

This happens when I try to run the install program. I scanned it several times - no virus and I doubt the file is corrupt (ausgamers.com being the source) I have tried someone's solution of running a registry cleaner (which did find errors and fixed them, but still same install problem).

I dont know what the Command line switch is so if someone could tell me what that is and/or a solution it would help me so much.

Thanks guys!

The /NCRC command makes Windows overlook the CRC - verification routine, which protects your data from being corrupted. I wouldn't take that chance.

Just download the program again, even companies like ausgamers get it wrong sometimes.

Ouch.... I know how that feels !!!

As I said earlier you could the NSIS switch, but if the file is corrupted, then you risk corrupting huge sections of data on your HD. Personally I wouldn't recommend it.

Otherwise you'll just have to sit tight for a month.

1stly thanks for the help mmer2. Thanks for putting your time into helping me mate.

2ndly I got it working - it must have been a corrupted file cause I redownloaded it from Game Arena and it works.

Cheers buddy!
