Darwin v S/Districts (Should be a win to the buffs)
StMarys v Nighcliff (Saints by around 10 goals)
Waratahs vWanderers (should be a close game
between to terrible teams)

Im going for Darwin over the crocs, Saints to hammer nightcliff, and waratahs over over the wanderers.

Killer are you going to Marrara tomorrow?

By the way - might be a chance of rain tomorrow, after one of the first storms of the wet today...ahhhh refreshing :p

Ta!
here it is again:
ST Marys - Saints Green and Gold formed 1950S
Darwin - Buffalos Double Blue formed a 1917
Nightcliff - the tigers gold and black formed 1950S
St Districts - crocs red white black formed late 1980s
Wanderers - eagles blue and yellow formed 1917
Palmerston - magpies black and white formed 1972
Waratahs - the cream puffs or warriors* if your not a local
red and white formed 1917

*Waratahs decided in the early 1980s to follow the lead of Woodville cause they were sick of being called creampuffs.

What is Darwin like as a place to live?

I just met the girl of my dreams and shes moving to Darwin in a couple of months :(

A lot of people haven't been to Darwin and just dump crap on it without even realising what type of place it is.

Having been born here, but lived in a bi city for a while (Paris, and Sydney) I still appreciate Darwin for what it is.

If your a big city slicker, then Darwin probably isn't the place for you, because you'll probably get bored.

However I appreciate Darwin, for the layed back multi cultural society that it is. (Not many places in Australia where you can walk in with thongs for example :D )

Its hard really to judge it for someone else, because they may have other opinions, but i'm sure if you moved up here you'd get used to it.

I guess that they would be my team. Are they any good?

Reigning Premiers

I hate them though, because its Darwin satellite city. So naturally there is a rivalry, and as i live in Darwin, I'm anti magpie :p

Mind you Darwin lost to Palmerston in last seasons final.

----------------1stQ-----2nd-----Q3-------4Q---------fin
Darwin--------3.3------9.5------13.6-----16.9-------105
southernd 1.4-------4.6-------8.11----15.14------104

stmarys 1.3--------1.3-----3.5------5.6------36
n/cliff 7.2-------11.5-----16.8-----17.9------111

First game 1q pretty scrappy and some pretty
ordinary umpiring. Darwin went to 6 goal lead
by second q.

S.Districts came back in the last to lead with a
few mins to go. Darwin player marked in the last
30 secs and goaled to give them the win.

5 goals to Bruce Jarmyn (s.d)
Kelvin Maher was listed to play but I didn't sight him.

Only saw the first half of the second game Nightcliff
blitzed them from the opening.

There was an all in brawl (30second worth) during
the first q.

Many of the Saints players hadn't made stat by half time,
those that did were turning the ball over.

Worst preformance by Saints for Decades.

Todays game is Wanderers v Waratahs

Mark Motlop is the eagles new coach. He's
had success at 2 or 3 different clubs as well as having
coached rep teams. They should be an improvement
the last couple of years.

Chris Williams is the Warriors coach continuing
from last year when he took the then premiers
to near the foot of table.

They're very good at the moment.

Have been since moving to Palmerston a few
years back.

When they were North Darwin they
were arwful and nobody wanted to know them.

Coached by Russell Jeffery who's probably the best
in the league.

Palmerston itself is a dreadful place....

Didn't get out to the game, but saw this mornings paper, and it seems as if Hale (st Marys new coach) was very pissed off as you would be looking at that score line.. (and my prediction :( )

Good to see the Buffs manage to escape with a 1 point win too :D

It's turning into the worlds biggest Delfin Village.

Too true. All new suburbs - Seems like you could be in the same bed with your wife yet you could be sleeping closer to hte next door neighbours wife :D

That's how close the houses are.

At half time Saints were in a huddle for a long while
(out in the middle of the field) it all seem rather controlled.
and the Tigers didn't really add to their lead after the break.
i'd be suprized if they played that badly next week.

Mark Motlop is the eagles new coach.
I assume that Kelvin Maher is the current Glenelg player of that name, and that Mark Motlop is the former Glenelg player of that name, also being the father of a couple of current AFL players?

If so - it looks like I could have several teams to barrack for in the NTFL.

Keep up the good work killer.
