Yeh, had a good chat to him (the channel 10 journo) as channel 9 and 10 were getting shots at training. I asked about Nas. He said there isn't any whispers and he thinks what is being reported is true, i.e. no one knows anything--take that for what it's worth. I should note I had to help the guy with which players were which during training, so I don't think he would have any special knowledge.

My gut feel is he re-signs and most of the oldies at training shared same view. But until he does, it is up in the air.

I was down at Moorabbin and managed to sneak into the club rooms after training. I noticed Ben Williams gesturing Nas to follow him out, so naturally I lurked behind them. They went into a small, dark room tucked away in a small dark corner. As Ben swung open the door, I caught a glimpse of Dilena, Bassat and Ross sat around a table, with two empty seats by the door. Ben gave a look around to see if anyone saw the pair enter the room, then quietly closed the door.

Because I was so worked up over the 'ITK's failing to give me an update, I mustered up the courage and walked over and placed my hand on the door handle. With all my might, I swung open the door. A large thud followed me, as I managed to catch the chair Nas was in and fell over myself.

I managed to collect myself and address the now stunned crowd that had their eyes locked onto me. I said:

"Can one of youse just tell me what the hell is happening! Is he signing or not!?"

All was quiet for a moment. I did catch Ross with his eyes and mouth wide open (I couldn't tell if he was still in shock or if it was his resting face). Dilena and Bassat were clearly beside themselves. In that moment of silence, Nas shot up.

It was strange, he placed his hand on my shoulder and gave me a very calm, pleasant expression. He then confidently said:

"I can explain everything, are you ready?"

I was absolutely beside myself, after all of this silence, nobody having any idea what was happening, all of the murmurings - I was about to know!

I gave him an excited nod, he knew I was just begging for the answer. Sensing my current state, he leaned in my ear and whispered his decision:
