Coming into the Carr Regine, there will be a lot of cool things happening, delistings, trading, new players, possbily Nasiah, a cheapy here and there, shrewd pickups, drafting, late drafting, assistant coaches, development coaches, lots of fun stuff but what we really need is a cultural reset and a strong gameplan, something that Hinkley had no idea about.

If Carr implements a great gameplan which is ideal for us the likes of Sinn, Visentini, Drew, Lachie Jones, Jase Burgoyne, Jack Lukosius, Zerk-Thatcher and a swath of young players like Lorenz, Jackson, Berry, Moreas, Whitlock will know what the heck they are doing and their talent and consistency will shine.

A player who has been maligned this year, Ollie Lord, looks very lost out there but with a good gameplan could surprise.

The noise around Saints lowballing Windhager and him potentially looking elsewhere would have to be terrible news on the NAS front.

Best mate at the club, Saints prioritising paying others outside the club way overs (TDK 1.7mil per year, Aleer 750k per year) but are lowballing 2 of their best players in NAS (all reports have been every offer has been under 1.5mil on average and reportedly only offering 600-650k per year for Windhager).

Makes no sense offering 10 years 17mil for Finn Callaghan last year and you literally have a player breaking out at age 22 in the exact same trajectory Finn did and you won't even offer him HALF of that deal.

500-600k is the average wage and will be below average in a few years. He is 22, a gun that is breaking out and if NAS and Steele left he would be by far the best midfielder in that team next year.

I just don't understand overpaying for guys that aren't even difference makers in TDK and Aleer (even though I rate Aleer as a decent player more than most) and then neglecting and wanting to lowball your own players.

They've been so desperate to overpay to get players into the club the last 5-10 years offering insane money and then they finally have some young players who actually show huge potential....... Let's lowball them and try to screw them down on money because they're already here.

It's a "we've already got them on the list so why would we pay a fair market value, or a good solid wage when they're stuck with us" type attitude. Negligence of your own backyard is the quickest way to run people out the door.
