Port would have the same chances of trading for him then as they have now. He'd need to sign 4 years to be a resteicted free agent and if he truly does want to just get back to SA and other reasons then I highly doubt he'll want to remain for 4 more years just for RFA

Also knowing Saints and Vic's in general, if his trajectory from now to 2 years time they'll want triple what they are ranting on about now probably to the point of picks #1, #2, #3 and every player Port have

That's $4 million in the first 2 years then evened out over how many other years were contracted, possibly 6 so 8 all up. $4 million for 2 years from Port or $2.8 million from Saints for only 2 years. Another reason he can use that in his terms for PSD. Very evident Port have the salary space to offer $2 million PLUS in NWM contract terms for PSD.

Surely an in form JHF, NWM, Butters, Bergman, Wines midfield rotation would be up there as one of the greatest of all time.
