You dont pay 2 ****ing million for a god damn wingman
Ok 1.7 and there’s possibly another TV deal in that time and possibly the cap goes up?

Would Craig Bradley be worth the high end of the cap space?

It’s a lot but just looking at his game on the weekend and if he carries that form forward I’m ok with it as are the Saints and the Crows and if available to other clubs they’d pay it as well.

That’s simply his market value.

I'd be extremely disappointed if Nas signalled (even discreetly) his want to get to Port and nothing came about because we couldn't get the capital for St Kilda.

As many have said on here, didn't stop Collingwood last year, didn't stop us when JHF came knocking.

Just make it happen, play hard, we've been bent over enough times, if we honestly drop our heads and go "ah well st Kilda wants 2 firsts and we dont have them" and let this slip I'll drive my car through Crippas office.

That involves driving to melbourne FYI 😂 (unless that's where you are)

I don’t mind Saints fans saying it just isn’t possible he’ll get to Port.

Not having enough current assets has never stopped a requested trade in the past.

It didn’t stop an IN contract Houston trade last year. It didn’t stop a Dangerfield trade to Geelong. It didn’t stop a Bailey Smith trade to Geelong. It never stops the trade going through.

We’ll get the required assets even if it means multi team trade, having access to trading next years first rounder, trading a younger player to another club.

We’ll get the equivalent of two first rounders (one being our future first) and the trade will get done.

If he requests Port it doesn’t really matter what saints fans say, almost certainly he’ll he getting here.

Did it stop Top Papley getting to Carlton? Did it stop Rowan Marshall last year? Lol

Port don't really have the capital to get a deal done, otherwise it would have been a fait accompli that Nas was coming back to Port. He's wanted to come back to Adelaide for over 12 months. Of course, if something pops up late with Port's list, they could always revisit the situation, but for now, it doesn't appear they have the requisite assets to get a deal done. Unless of course, if someone like Butters out of the blue said he wanted to leave (which would be extremely unforeseen).
Chewy - What would it take to get it done.
I would have thought we can use our future first and our 2nd rounder plus a player to extract enough points equal to 2 first rounders.
NWM Isn’t worth more than that. Very few are.

Not sure why you would be laughing about Marshall also wanting out. That’s two of St Kilda’s 3 best players who apparently don’t want to be there.

Marshall is 30 years old, he’s chasing a flag that won’t happen at STK. more than happy for him to go and chase one since he only has a few years left.

And in regards to NAS, it’s not at all that he doesn’t want to be there lol. He misses home, must be a thing in that friendship group (JHF, nas)

When a player of this ability is considering coming home you throw everything at him.

Top level players win you games and get you to grand finals.

In my view what position he plays is somewhat irrelevant.

A half decent coach will find a position that makes it work.

The benefits of securing NWM outweigh the risks.

The homesickness thing sucks as a supporter of a club that wants to leave. We all have to come to terms with it a bit though. Player movement is becoming easier and easier, and they hold all the power in negotiatiations. Especially a player of nasiahs ability, who will have a similar contract offer no matter where he chooses to play. We will be facing the same issue with butters next year, after having it with Houston last year. It’s swings and roundabouts. You win some and you lose some.

Every week that goes by and Nas does not resign
Every week Saints lose

We get closer to swaying his decision

I think it'll take the value of two 1st round picks.

Got a message overnight from someone I trust saying Port could absolutely get a deal done whilst still preserving the requisite draft capital for Cochrane in 26 as an NGA.

I suspect one way would be (in addition to pushing a player or two out) to identify teams with NGA or F/S prospects in this draft who will go in the first round, and acquire their team's first round pick in exchange for multiple lower round picks.
