Yea Chewy said that. I just don't believe it though, that is the club trying to save face. That was the trade where we sent Ladhams and 16 for pick 12 and everyone was outraged.

Nothing to do with the Club saving face because I've had that info for over 3 years. Sinn was in their top 5 players that draft and it may even be closer to the top than the bottom of that 5. They were absolutely thrilled to get him.

Sinn just needs more games to properly develop. Has had a nice season and has steadily improved. He's going to be a very good player.

Not all players have development that is linear, and some take far longer than others to realise their potential, for a myriad of reasons.

So I suppose the numerous other players we've developed into AA's, and AFLCA winners, brownlow medallist etc. was a dream.

We may not have had much success as a team, but individually, our players have developed well and won decent accolades along the way. Don't conflate the two issues.
Robbie Gray only did 30 & 5 once such is Stinkers bomb it to Charlie mantra.

He went at 12 NAS 14 s8 swap then lol seriously though injuries have curtailed his development alot, I've enjoyed his progression this year

I did wonder if NWM was our target and not Sinn but the way Sinn spoke after we drafted him made it sound like he was always our target, and he was so pleased that we were able to follow through with the promises we gave him that we would do our best to trade up to get him.

I'm pretty sure it played out that the pick 12 we got from Sydney went out to pick 14 and on draft night after NWM was selected with pick 11, we traded that pick 14 and a future second rounder for West Coast's pick 12 and moved ahead of Essendon who we must've thought were going to take Sinn.

Saints board in absolute tatters today.

Fighting amongst themselves now thinking they shouldn’t sign NAS 2mil per year for 2 years.

If you don’t want to pay him like a top 5 player in the comp you aren’t getting the crazy ‘unders’ of 3 first round picks and steak knives.

The denial talk is turning into angry acceptance and bickering that NAS may be gone.

He is gone imo.

A lot think it’s his manager pushing for more money. I doubt it.

Think he wants to get home.

There’s been no indication he wants to stay

Who knows, but we should promote him to President. Anything it takes to get NWM.

Or at least find out if he requires a new MG.

Yep, it's not going well🤣

If Butters asked for a trade to the Hawks what do you reckon he would attract?

Hawks have Blues 1st rounder this year, so they have draft capital.

Hey Hey, we had a Tony update yesterday that said the contrary.

Also, where the hell are Port's ITKs, someone must know something at your end?

I can't believe the Billionaire Boys Club dinner didn't sway him.

Such a truly bizarre thing to do to a country indigenous lad.

"So Nasiah, do you want to see my Jackson Pollock?"

Hang on we're still got one game against Carlton to go :grimacing:

Unlikely as it is given the 'bloody' history lol Butters at the Hawks makes them an instant flag contender. The man is a ball magnet, a good and clever user of it under pressure and the absolutely the best kind of pest you want.

Where NAS for us takes us from no-mans-land/infamously-wobbly-finalist well into being a solid finals side, and a proper contender if we can sort our long term key position stability at both ends. He'd bring so much more ball back into F50 that even we with our current game plan would... fail far less often lol. The 'value' of trades is often unequal measured that way.

Poor west coast need help, haven’t won a flag since 2018.
How would you feel going 7 years without a flag.
Yes poor Weagles, like the Hawks averaging 3 flags a decade over the last 50 years.

Shame on us wanting those expectations
