I concur, hence why Port should look to get other clubs involved such as the Giants with Leek Aleer being on the Saints radar and some of the other Northern Clubs with their academy prospects or even Carlton with their F/S pursuit in Harry Dean if NWM does want to come to Port.

However, it's not the worst idea to opt out of this year's draft with the lack of quality and depth and instead focus more on 2026 with Doug Cochrane; if the AFL commission approves his NGA status with Port and 2027 with all the F/S and NGA prospects coming through.
