Pretty sure I recall reading somewhere that Gil is a self-declared Saints supporter? Not that it makes the optics any less gross. I just guess given he isn't officially tethered to the AFL anymore that they feel they can call in a favour from him.

Yes, absolutely. Very good player, BZT and (aside from that one good month) Esava aren't fit to tie his bootlaces. The reason a club in our position wouldn't sign him though is his age, not ability.

I knew you would jump in here.

I don't think his age is an issue because I can see him easily making the distance of a 4-5 year Josh Carr tenure.

He would definitely help that.

Obviously he's known for his uncontested work and sublime kicking but with such a large tank, in the last 6 games he's averaged 10 contested possessions a game which would have him 3rd after our two rocks in that department, Butters and Wines.

It would be nice if the Hornet and Bergman get some consistency in that part of their game next year.
