Honestly I'm not upset with this, I called it a while ago that its the smart decision if he isn't sure.

He's an absolute star but two first rounders and Jack Whitlock was looking less and less like a price worth paying. Not because of anything to do with NWM, but because Whitlock and our 2026 first seem to be looking better and better as weeks go by.

We go back and see what Carr can do with this list, then we all re-visit (Miles, Nas, Butters, and the list management teams) in a couple of years.

I must be one of the few people here who doesn't actually care, such is my level of disengagement with the club these days. I mostly checked in for this:

The melting on here next year re Butters will be nauseatiing.

Guess what fealls, you have zero influence or idea of what is happening or going to happen. None. Writing a buzzillion responses, hypotheticals, retorts, trolls, yeah but, no buts on here is the most pointless shit you can do.

The funniest thing in all this, who was the master troll who got all the media outlets onboard in the last 24h that he was crows bound only for it to emphatically fall over less than a day later?

Lol someone was telling intentional porkies.
Its literally just one ****** then everyone else uses that ****** as their source.

Morris uses very tricky language ...up to 2.5 million per year and at up to $30 million in total.

...but not exactly that of course

at up to 30 million can mean $20 million

Chewy316 Any truth to those Port contract figures? That's a ludicrous amount of money. Surely that's too many eggs in one basket?

News to me if that's the case - but I was told today that the offer on a per year deal from the Saints blew what Port was offering out of the water.

Just looking at this logically, I find it impossible to believe that a player would take roughly 25 million less to stay. That would be beyond bad managerial advice. And I don't think Williams is a bad manager.

$2.5million is probably where we'd told Williams we could structure the deal to get him to Port if a trade couldn't be done and it was forced into the PSD.

Saints significantly increased their offer recently.

Wasn't too long ago they were only offering around 1M per year, yet offering 1.7M to TDK, which pissed NWM off (understandably).

My understanding of it is that NWM wants to see how things roll out the next two years with Ross, teamed up with TDK and a healthy Max King, at which point he will make a longer term decision on his future.

I’m just glad this whole thing made me aware he’s Eddie Sansbury’s biological son.

Trivia like this fuels me, and I’ll be loitering around outside quiz nights looking to join a table pretty regularly in future.
