I’m just glad this whole thing made me aware he’s Eddie Sansbury’s biological son.

Trivia like this fuels me, and I’ll be loitering around outside quiz nights looking to join a table pretty regularly in future.
Found a funny old post from 2006:

ed sansbury at the roos is a cousin of a few AFL boys and is married to Gavin Wangadean siter and they have a son. maybe nth should be getting a 100 games out of Ed.

lol norf

Did anybody else get a "Hahahaha sucked in champ" PM from DT_35?

As one of the least invested in this thing I feel honoured. All I ever stated that a back pocket should command no more than 2 first rounders, one being a future. $2 million a year is crazy money. If he doesn't come on as a midfielder or doesn't handle the extra attention, gets injured, it will look excrutiatingly stupid. It's only 2 years, which is the saving grace. The 12 year contract Port were supposedly offering (highly doubtful) would have been seriously mental.

The guy should have been given a ban weeks ago. Absolute peanut!

Disappointing that despite good $$ we couldn't convince him to leave a shithole like the saints. I have no doubt the handover and our crap performances wouldn't have helped.

I hope we rocket back up the ladder next year whilst the saints wallow down the bottom.
I don't actually believe it was that Port couldn't convince him. some idiot saints people on here saying where is C4 but I believe there was actually talks going on. Cal Twomey kept saying Port are in it and guess who breaks the real factual news? cal Twomey. So IMO Nas did want to leave but somewhere near the end whether it's all the pressure and the talks with people like Gil putting more on him and probably saying the trade cannot get done etc etc because Port don't have what ever they (Victorian club) are wanting.. so he stayed on an highly paid 2 year only deal with no triggers of extension or anything else that I've been made aware of. I'm sure of there was trigger clauses in there for longer Cal Twomey would of said it but seeing as he only mentioned 2 years, that's either Nas and manager stating he'll be gone in 2 years and/or possibly it's to see how saints go in that period. Either way, Nas gets paid top dollar. would of been a lot of other clauses in this contract to benefit Nas and his family though. But Port definitely were in this all the way. Not Crows. Guaranteed on that one. Good luck to them. If they rise, they rise, but I just can't see it. They've had a strong healthy list predominantly all season bar 1 Max King who has never showed any case of being a good player or key forward IMO and they've finished bottom of the barrel and all they are getting at this stage is an over priced TDK whilst he's good he also did get beaten overall by Sweet. Ports had a beyond terrible year admittedly.. but I've always loved these saints fans and Ross the toss going on about saints being a young side even lying in a presser saying they were younger then Tigers in that game but they weren't 🤦 Yet ports whole team and new crop is younger without Boak in the team, also the same team overall except Dixon and Houston that made finals last year. I've got more faith in Port bouncing back and contending then I do with saints making the finals.

Rankine, Dawson, Kozzy, and .....
Wouldn't be any of those three in macca's last two year timeline.

For the sake of going back further though Rankine hates Port as does his family so you can't miss out on someone who was never coming, Dawson just played lip service to us & Kozzy has d!cked us around so much we stopped bothering.

Yeah, he's an idiot. Funny how the saints buddy buddy moderators warn and suspend people through out all this yet these clowns act the way they do.

We will never know, but I can't help but think Ports form was a factor here.

They have got a % under 80 and have been genuinely awful this year.
I think that he wants to see what Josh does and what Ross does aswell.

If he wanted the Crows he would of gone to now.

I think we can rule out them from any discussion in terms of any trade in the future.

Honestly, when the news yesterday from all the potato journos stating Nas was leaning towards the Crows and Port was outta the question, I thought to myself at this point re-signing with St Kilda for a couple is probably best case all round.

We keep Whitlock and can hopefully begin to build some depth, we also keep many of the picks required for Cochrane and Pilot should the AFL tick off, we reset under Carr and hopefully begin to rebuild a culture and then revisit this in a couple years when things could look completely different.

It also keeps him from the Crows.

As concerned as I was last night that your Ralphs and Theo Dropkicks had some inside info and were right, it's pretty funny literally the day after their big drop he re-signs with the Saints!

Who knows perhaps they genuinely never were in play?

To be honest, I'm disappointed that Nas resigned with the Saints, and I would be lying if I said otherwise. However, he's got his bag, and good on him.

What this resigning has done is make me a bit skeptical about going back in two years for him. I don't want this fiasco replaying again, and I certainly don't want a Kozzie Pickett situation with Nas where he dances and flirts with the idea of coming home, says he's "homesick," and then resigns a monster deal with St Kilda.

I hope they do their due diligence in this case. If this is just a matter of seeing how the club is in 24 months and what Josh does with the list, and there are some reassurances that he will come, then that's fine.

The one takeaway in all this is that if he were willing to come back to SA, he would be coming back to Port Adelaide, because if he wanted them, he would have gone to them now in this window.

Hopefully, in two years, things will be different, and NWM is a Port Adelaide player.
