Obtaining old PPVs, RAWs and Smackdowns

Hey guys, one of my mates is currently in the process of trying to obtain all of these. He wants 1997-2009 Not before or after.

What are the best places to obtain said events? (prefferably DVD)

He wants the DVDs
iOffer apparently has nothing but ebay does
Looks like PPVs are covered
Thanks for that
Though, with RAW and Smackdown (mainly AE for this part) - Do you know where you can obtain DVDs for them?

I recently bought copies of Raw, Smackdown and PPVs from 1996 to 2002 off ioffer. The seller put a month's worth of Raws or Smackdowns on a disc, plus 2-3 PPVs on a disc as well. Only problem is you need to be able to have a DVD player that has Div-X support, although you can also use the discs on a PC or PS3 or something like that.

3 ppvs on a disc? I imagine the quality isnt too good. a montgs worth of tv must be pretty average as well, once theyre 2 hour shows

i have 97 to 01 raws and smackdowns on dvd. But the quality isnt the best available and im not sure i can be bothered ripping and burning a couple hundred discs. i would suggest going to the crazymax forums and looking around there (if you can get access/sign up). It should ve pretty easy to find someone with really good quality (non 24/7) copies. itll almost certainly be someone from overseas but in my experience (and this is when the $ was around .75) once postage is included you wont be paying more than a couple of bucks per disc

The quality's not too bad actually. He's put the PPVs and Smackdowns/Raws on the discs as data files rather than as movies.

Ahh the old vhs selloffs. those were the days. i remember with one local store going in every day for two weeks to see what new stuff theyd put out.aroubd that time i recall paying $40-$50 each for some late 80s-early 90s nwa/wcw tapes off ebay and wna's old trading forum (which was usually better value for money than a $2 late 90s wcw or wwf ppv)

So have you got all 2001-2002 raw, smackdown and PPV's?

Does anyone know where I can download/obtain copies of Raw is War from 2000 that are sourced from the USA Network/TNN? I'm currently watching late '99 WWF and will go onto 2000 shortly but the copies of Raw 2000 I have are sourced from Fox Sports which is a censored version. I did a quick google and had a look on XWT & Pirate Bay but can't find anything.

If anyone can help that would be awesome.

Here is a bunch of SD:

You're best place for getting them online is to check torrent sites. Here's a good thread that seems to be along the lines of what you're looking for:

Yeah I checked that link of Raws & SD's they're the Fox versions which I already have and I also saw that second link as well. They link to PWT which I don't have access to but assume if they had a USA Network version they'd be on XWT as well.

Yeah Allgood Awesome the Fox Sports versions are censored - I think they're from the UK but pretty sure we got the same ones. It's so annoying, I started watching the 1999 ones a while back and they were the Fox Sports ones as well - not only do they censor out ass, bitch and other words that occur every 5 seconds in a SCSA promo but they also censored some of the more "violent" moves - I was watching the match where Foley wins the title for the first time I think it was and they were fighting on the outside, the camera cuts to a shot of the crowd and when it comes back Foley's on the gorund next to a smashed table. So frustrating, luckily I was able to find the USA Network versions on XWT straight after so was able to watch the proper version but now I'm up to SummerSlam 1999 and need the proper 2000 versions before I make it to the end of the year.

might have to wait until they air on the Network so someone can rip them... depends if you're a stickler with the music

I am - haha. Cheers anyway but I want the originals as they aired in the States I hate the censored versions, the versions where the WWF logo is blurred or the music has been changed.

On a sort of related note, does anyone have an invite for PWT? I used to be a member ages ago but they've obviously deleted my account due to inactivity and I can't recover it.

EDIT - For anyone who cares - after going through my hard drive last night it seems the ep's from 2000 are about half/half - all but 3 ep's from Jan/Feb are Fox Sports but then all from March/April are USA - May & June are about a 50/50 split so looks like I'll just have to make do. From what I can gather these are the only copies that exist online until someone with time on their hands goes back and caps them.

why are these episodes not available on the Network yet?
this is what is stopping me from subscribing

this answer was in relation to media from other companies in the WWE library, but I assume the same issues may hold true for old RAWs (not sure how much was done for the previous Classics on Demand station etc):
"...the material has to be digitized, cleared by legal for music rights and then close-captioned. None of this can magically happen overnight, especially when you talk about the size of the library."
