TWO Ls!!! How many times does he have to TELL you??

I'm feeling shocked and saddened by the death of the two lady jockeys (jockettes?) recently. I guess some consolation for their families is that they were doing something that they loved when they died but it's a terrible loss.
I'm pleading the acnth amendment!!! Autocorrect did it!!! I'm innocent!!!!!!!

No sympathy from me at all!!! My sympathy goes to the 18,000 horses sent to the doggers for pet food + overseas human consumption, from the TB industry, which they euphemistically refer to as "wastage":mad::mad:

The road between Perth and the airport here (Great Eastern Hwy) is the most expensive road in Australia, I think. And the road crew have been working on the Tonkin Hwy near the other side of the airport for years now and they're still getting bridges up.
Sounds like more than one state is making a mess of their roads.
NSW is definitely the worst!!! RingRoads project began in 1964 + only three built from seven!!! They build new roads for traffic to use while they build new roads! o_O

The first time I drove in Melbourne was from airport to Geelong. Hired a car + the ******** before me put the TomTom to avoid tolls! It was a frigging nightmare! All the $$$ saved on tolls was used x 10 on petrol FFS!!!

Eh? There are no tolls from the airport to Geelong.

There are only toll roads in and out of Melbourne CBD. ie. Monash, tunnels and Tulla.
That's what I was thinking- she was wanting to go through the city then out to Geelong.
We always go from the airport to home the Geelong way but only get caught on toll roads going back out to the Morning Peninsula/Gippsland to visit rellies.

Every time you 'throw a leg over' you take your life in your hands, from pleasure riding to racing - granted the risk is a lot higher @ racing speed and no, nothing is a consolation.. it's life (and death), eventually the pain becomes less but never leaves you :(

You can say the same 4 treadly riders, motorcycle riders, car drivers and hell, even walking home from the pub..

This comment really offends me. Are you totally devoid of human emotion..? Do you think that every single person in the industry treats animals poorly..?

You see the worst scenarios and judge all on that, our horses are treated as a part of the family.. you do realise that you cannot make an animal weighing in @ an average of 1/2 a tonne do anything they do not want to do!

Would appreciate an honest answer from you here, have you actually ever cared for, or had the responsibility for, a horse on a day to day basis..? Not talking about donating $'s for others to do the job either..
