Enough of this shite about the 1st XVIII and bloody 10A footy, let's get down to the real blood and guts of APS footy, the 4ths.

personally I see St Kevin's as being a major threat with the likes of Hallett, Gannon and Cyril/Junior Karunaratne running around aimlessly week in, week out.

must look out for big mal from scotch, who uses 4ths as prep for his assault on the APS shot put title-unfortunately giving away many frees in the process.

naturally xavs always put in a good show, clash with skevs shall no doubt be a bruising encounter; xavier expected to bus their entire school over to watch.

the 4th XIX down at caulfield are shoe ins for another good season, but can expect plenty of head counts being called when they come up against st kevin's. the contentious "three wing cluster" (aka playing nineteen players on the field) has brought 4ths footy into disrepute with several games in 08 being called off mid-match. shall be interesting to see whether CGS go again with the 3-wing-cluster formation for 09.

haileybury, perenial cellar dwellers of the 4ths, no change there, especially now that st kevin's has procured the wealth of footballing knowledge that is mark "jefferey" harrington.

carey shall be there and abouts, consistently solid 4ths performers, but considering their 4ths is actually their second XVIII this is no surprise.

but for me, MGS is the wildcard of 09. j.bett should surely abandon any illusions of playing 3rds and just play 4ths as the 4s are much more to his skill level; too bad he can't employ his left arm orthodox deliveries with the oval ball.

wesley, geelong combined, and brighton should give up life (at least as far as 4ths footy is concerned).

thoughts lads?

Certainley agree with this quote. The big matches of Skevs-Xav, and Scotch - MGS should prove some very physical encounters

Guys, I really appreciate you putting your time and effort into this, but really you shouldn't have. The season is over before it has even started. The MGS 4th XVIII have put in a huge pre-season, and have even gone to the extent of hiring a coach this year. Our team is all year 12's and there is no doubt with the experience of several prospect 2nds players we will run a mock of the competition.

Here's a sneak preview of our team, just don't go leaking it to the media

B: Forbes Williamson (vc) McConnell

HB: Gobbo (1) Weir Rasmussen (2)

C: Kasinski Gibbons (vc) (2) Jul. Daniell

HF: Quine Walford (4) Brayshaw (3)

F: Hansen Rundell (c) (4) Whitchurch

R: Findeisen (c) (5) McCallum (3) Downey (c) (1)

Bench: Coverdale, Bett, Avery-Mitchell, Dane, Gurr (5)

Possibilities/Unsure of: Hargreaves, McConnell, Brayshaw, Cutter, Dane, McIlldowie

Need I say more?

We even have planned rotations.

4ths footy playyer shouldn't need rotations so stop wasting such time with such a point less thing. looking at the team i don't see any one that can fight for MGS and that is a serious issue at 4th footy level. the only ones remotely possible to get in a fight are mccullum and maybe gibbons

Just like possible 1st midfielders should be able to beat lanky 4ths footballers around the tan. How about you harden up you little bitch

HB: M. Murphy K. Holland A. Holdsworth

C: A. Dassie M. Berthelsen S. Rajic

HF: J. Bergin M. Gleeson P. White

F: B. Karunaratne B. Gannon C. Bennie-Faull

Followers:

J. Murphy-Cruise
N. Forrester

Pine:

have been putting in the hard yards already and have already began training for clarko's cluster, the rolling zone is ready to sweep through 4ths footy on top of that skevs are on the brink of signing their own official sponsor "Con's Super Deli" Melville Rd, West Brunswick. Great fish and chip shop, best kebabs going round (after the richmond kebab house on the corner of swan and church st).

just quietly, B.Gannon set to break speed records over the 10-20m distance at the '09 draft camp.

your so hypocritical. ive never seen u get into a fight on the football field.

some other players capable of going punch to punch with other 4 XVIII.

-Gobbo
-Brayshaw (not quite punch to punch, but he'll do his best)
-Weir
-Kasinski
-Rundell (aparently got in a fight last year)
-Quine (darkhorse)
-T. Hansen (white line fever. watch out)

-Gobbo - fair enough he will fight although he could be playing 2's
-Brayshaw (not quite punch to punch, but he'll do his best) u gotta be joking although he will try his hardest
-Weir - claims to be quite the fighter but i just can't see it happening for him. he's had trouble with his knee so i'd just like to see him get out on the park first before he starts doing the team things(FIGHTING)
-Kasinski- will fight as long as he doesn't cop a bottle to the head which is quite possible in 4ths footy
-Rundell (aparently got in a fight last year) - had a fight in year 10 againast xavs and lost woefully. i believe his confidence will be down and he'll struggle to string 2 punches together
-Quine (darkhorse) - has a BMI of 10 enough said
-T. Hansen (white line fever. watch out) - sorry i don't even know who this guy is
WHAT R u talking about u don't even konw who i am. my comments of the players are in bold.

Guys, we are forgetting Dane here... he is the only player in the team to be suspended from aps football for fighting... he can definitaly go a round or 2

hi
i played 4ths last year for xavs, mgs only had 12 players but they still managed to beat us in the first half. there was a lethal ruck/rover combination could you just tell me there names, in particular the smaller man as our coach likened him to Scott Pendlebury. i also hear he nearly won a game of his own boot against scotch in the 10b's
thanks

I do believe you are referring to the infamous Findeisen to Cutter combination. Findeisen failed to lose a tap all day, whilst Josh Cutter accumulated 47 possessions, 23 clearances, 18 free kicks for, whilst playing the second half under a serious injury cloud. He was magical, with his performance right up there to his 10B performance where he kicked all but 1 of MGS's goals, despite attrackting 3 defenses in a somewhat questionable coaching move from P.Newbury to isolate him at full forward. Needless to say it was an incredible decision, and Cutter followed through to perfection, proving why he should be playing 1st football this year. Futher evidence can be reaped from Mandy De Stiger, mother of MGS's residential lank, 'I've never someone read the play that well. You should definitely play 1st's Josh.'
In brief, Josh Cutter is the best player in the APS

nothing on berthelsen from moonga rd, best tackler the aps has seen and is rumoured to run faster than wojincski on steroids. much like watts from BGS, has nominated one game to play in 09 when he can get away from tac duties (*cough* statistician). at this stage believed to be MGS, reiginiting the clashes of 10Bs (07) and 9Bs (06) down at fawkner park for old time's sake once more.

your use of emotive and persuasive language is brilliant flynnrider and you even mangaed to cement your contention with relative quotation. kudos. that lethal telopathic connection between those two players will surely continue well into their senile stage

having been lucky enough to play and witness cutter at his stunning best in that 10 B's scotch game, i do recall cutter was the beneficiary of unbelievable delivery, possibly from gobbo or rundell was it?

anyway personally i hope the cutter and findeisen combination can live on for this year and for years to come, it is something to behold. it is poetry in motion, it is like stone cold butter melting on a freshly cooked piece of toast, majestic

are you ******ed?

maybe if st.kevs was a bit tougher, you wouldve beaten MGS in the firsts last year. but no, typically weak st.kevs decides to roll over and let MGS take the game.

secondly... nothing, i repeat, nothing, is as soft as richard tambling. he is the worst football player in the league and the fact that u compared a premiership winning football team to him shows you have no clue.

a. i was talking about 4ths.
b. was just making a joke, based on what has been proven to be an erroneous stereo type.
c. your appraisal of tambling is highly accurate.
d. west lakes, settle down, this is a novelty thread lol and i was making a joke. saying that makes you sound a bit over the top...just a bit. no offence...

dont hurt me....

SKC all the way, with new recruits as well as the introduction of a 5ths team for dud year 11's the new look SKC 4ths will dominate the competition with ruthless efficiency and effectiveness
