Re: Official GVFL thread

I stand corrected, everything said in a pub is always true. These recruits that are on $700 a game, do they have names ?
you are not as close to the club as you say in your previous thread Slim if you dont know who your recruits are, just to help you, Charles and i believe there is at least another one from Coburg i think, hope that helps you with your player knowledge;)

1st, Charles has not been cleared from Lalbert, meaning he is not a recruit. 2nd, you believe another one from Coburg you think. Shit, as the Scott Palmer of the GV, I thought you might have a bit more info than that. But thanks, I'll add that to my player knowledge.

Who cares really, your guna cop a hiding round 1. then all you'll be looking forward too is playing shepp so you might be able to win a game.
Little was on a bundle. you would have been paying him the big $$$ if he didn't jump ship.
Pull your head in if you think there are players not on some big coin at your club

Rochy missed the finals for the second time in a row last year. They have a pretty young team and have recruited 5-6 decent players.

Not sure about the ground. It was pretty dry last year, but I think the club has got some water so it should be fine.

How is Keilor Park looking? Will the big names play?

Mercuri is a possibility, misiti probably not, just had twins, so looks like starting round one at this stage.

Pretty much in the same boat, a lot of young blokes on the list - the senior side won't have a player over 25. About 5 or 6 more experienced players won't make the trip due to cricket commitments and work.

The club has dropped down to B Grade but with a new coach, new assistants and new reserves coach, who are all KP people things are hopefully on the right track.

Should be a good hitout for the both sides!!

Cheers!!:thumbsu:

Re: Official GVFL thread

Was at memorial oval on the weekend and witnessed Euroa play against Benalla in the practice match underlights. Benalla got home by a couple of goals in the end. Not sure who they had missing from the team, but Euroa were missing Grainger and Jansz. I must say the lights were of a good standard. Both teams were let down by skills at various times, but showed enough to suggest they would both puch for a finals place.

Depth might be a problem for both teams though as they required fill in players to help make up the numbers.

There is one final night game to be played on the 5th of April, with Euroa playing North Heidelberg, which will mark the return of a former Euroa century goal kicker in Adrian Baker, who is now currently playing for North Heidelberg.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Just wondering how a young kid by the name of Mitch Ellis has been going with Seymour during the practice matches. Played in our 2's @ Sunshine but missed last year with a knee reco. Finds the ball but terrible skills.

Bakes has signed with Romsey in the RDFL Boss, did hear maybe Tevita Fonua too, and I do know that Adam Kearney and the Wheatley boys from Lalor have committed there too - my money is on Romsey to finish top 3 :thumbsu:

Re: Official GVFL thread

C'mon Boss not like you to post inaccurate information mate. Obviously you need to find new sources. Baker will kick goals wherever he plays.

Let that be said :thumbsu: Still wish it was at Harley Hammond Reserve Broadford he was kicking them though:(

Re: Official GVFL thread

When Tat spend big money, they win the odd flag. Eg. 1995,1998 and 2003.
Maybe the Swans need some who can put together a flag winning side, not just the most expensive
spot on slim swans recruit big na
me players but dud blokes i think their recruiting needs a complete overhaul.:thumbsdown:

Re: Official GVFL thread

Just wondering how Some of the Shepparton team's going to looking for this year?
will united be strong again?
heard up here that Bears might be struggling for numbers? i happened to watch one of their games late last year against moorpana and a few really inpressed.
Jeremy Obrien was a standout and also nick allen who is a very althetic and smart footballer. But there was a one kid who stood out, i don't really know much about him but i thought he was very good player, who was strong in defence all day and probably was b.o.g for the bears. he wore no.14. Just wondering if anyone knows who this kid is and anything about his footy career? And maybe who he is playin for this year?

Re: Official GVFL thread

Whats the finances at Tat looking like this year Slim, can they afford to spend up big ?
Tat's finances have been better, but the new 14 person board are working extremely hard and have gone a long way to put us back in the black. In saying that, they are looking at putting some experience blokes around our young blokes.

Good luck with that slim not that easy to turn it around, good crop of juniors to work with, hope you have some good football people to help not the clipboard holders

Sorry there Supastarr. Looks like I will have to get a new informant. I was told prior to Christams that he was playing at North under an old coach in Tilley, his first name I cant remember. I will lift my game in future.

It would have been good to see him play against his former club though.

Hey Doona, hows Broadford looking for this year?

I also see that Chris Atkins has decided to play at Kyabram this year.
