Re: Official GVFL thread

Awwe come on rowey, the 90 grand final was a long time ago. We're not a bad bunch:D

And look what you have achieved since.

Euroa FC has built a tradition of quitting, sooking and thuggery. Something you should be very proud of.

A tradition? Shouldn’t you use "a culture" when talking about football clubs?

Traditionally I think Euroa were very good. They went down hill after 1990 and struggled at the bottom of the ladder for a few years but have built themselves back up to be a very competitive team for the past 8 or 9 years. Lost a grand final they should have won and maybe under preformed last year with the side they had (isn’t that what Rochy has done this year?). Euroa has played very well this year and will play finals, but for injury they could be a real chance to challenge the likes of Seymour, United and the Swans. I’m not sure there’s much to what you’re saying other than getting a little sensitive and having a personal crack at someone.
What’s the talk out of the Rochy camp in regards for a coach next year? I hear that Euroa is already out there on the hunt with a couple of high profile names in the mix.

Re: Official GVFL thread

... I hope this doesn't start more back and forth bickering between Euroa and Rochy like a month ago...

As for Rochy's coaching position. Nothing announced, but if you were a betting man, you'd tip they'd be looking for a new coach for next year I'm very sad to say.

Of course Euroa would be out there in the hunt for a coach next year as their coach this year never wanted to coach them at all and they have known all year that he has no plans of coaching next year

Re: Official GVFL thread

Call the Strapper!!! I've opened an old wound....No one quit, No one Sooked. Not sure about the Other:D:D:D

As close to quiting as you can get with out actually quiting was your own coach this year ya tool.

Very interesting point.

I happened to be reading an old Shepp News the other day. I think it was from 1991 and it had a big headline saying 'Coach walks out' with a nice big picture of Garry Foulds threatening to walk out on his team at 3/4 time.

Who was Foulds coaching then? You guessed it, Euroa.

WOW I was calling the coach the wrong name all year then. How stupid do I feel now, I was calling him Nippa. Gary Harvey took over from Kevin Storer as coach of Euroa, you wombat.
Gary Foulds was (dont quote me as I may be wrong) coaching Mooroopna. Blow a bit more dust of the paper so you can read it properly.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Garry Foulds was coach of Mooroopna at that time.

Can you two clowns stop filling this forum with shit please?

:D:D Nippa would be stoked, first time ever he's been confused with a 6 footer.:D
Please Skillz, Rowey Give up, Euroa are the team that (apart from those aligned to the) every one loves to hate. And the best part of that is that when they have success it's all the more sweeter. Say Hello to Rosco for me..... or is he still sleeping:D

It's probably time for a new coach. Dirty has been a wonderful and loyal servant of the club.

They should go for a playing coach. You already have to pay for a coach, so may as well get one that is a good player too. Dirty has been doing it for years for no pay, so the club will have to find a bit of extra $.

Daniel Schmidt would probably throw his name into the ring. I reckon a guy like Jeremy Campbell would be good too. He has the experience at Blackburn.

It wouldn't bother me if it was someone from Melbourne. There would be guys that could do the training throughout the week and then he could take over on game day. I don't know how well that works at other clubs, but it's an option.

It will be a strange feeling if Dirty isn't coaching. But I reckon he would be great for the thirds as well.

Has to be someone who lives close enough to take training during the week. Would have to be someone with profile in the town to get the townsfolk onside and behind the club.

Jezza Campbell would be ideal, but he would have to be prepared to move back up there, and I doubt he'd do that.

One of the biggest decisions in the club's history, no doubt.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Got one week.

Would I be wrong in saying that Rochy could be a chance this week? In recent years Saad has been kept to a minimum 8 goals and has on at least two occasions kicked more than 10. You would think that a lot of Dave Williams' game plan would have revolved around stopping Saad.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Hi Fellas,

Just wondering if one of you GV supporters can tell me whether you have a 3 or 4 man interchange in the seniors and magoos.
