brett lee has been rested for the replace of shaun tait who will make his ODI debut against england tomorrow


my thoughts are he will carve up and hopefully stay in the side for the world cup ahead of johnson hopefully

well he has alrady ripped england to shreds in the tour matches

Of course he's playing, everyone knew that when he was added to the squad. They're not going to drag him away from FC cricket so he can run out some gatorade and towels.

No she wouldn't. They selectors are giving him a couple of games to see if he can do something freakish to get him a spot in the WC squad.

Hope he does well, but have to remember he's not a consistant bowler, perfect 5th quick in the world cup squad...Id say its Mcgrath, Lee, Bracken, Johnson as the clear top 4, with Clark vs Tait for the back up spot. Now given that we don't need a 5th quick unless we've in huge trouble and getting belted, I dont think Clark brings anything new, while Tait is the perfect X factor.

As soon as Shaun Tait was flown into the squad, it was clear Brett Lee would be rested, as Lee and Tait wont play in the same side for the time being.

I think Tait and Bracken will take the new ball, as someone said, if Tait bowls as a change bowler, they are better off not bowling him at all, he needs the ball when it's Brand New, I think he'll rip through the England batting line up, take a couple of wickets, scare the batsmen and not go for many runs, keeping his spot in the side (perhaps giving the selectors no choice but to play Lee and Tait in the same side)

Come on Shaun, take your opportunity!!! Stay in the side and get a place in the World Cup Squad

Tait will open, don't worry about that young man. I hope he bowls around over 18-20 or so too, he is great at ripping through tails.
