Happy with that line up. Would obviously look better with Dawes, McDonald and Trengove out there but even they won't be too far away. We are in with a big chance of a win.

Im not overly enamoured with Port's back 6. On paper they have a good up and coming midfield and could do anything up forward. If we can keep the midfield battle to a 50/50 I like our chances tbh. They have great coaching staff though, should be a good game.

Sellar up forward and starting as expected and the 3 talls in the side.

Good to see reward for effort in the preseason for a number of players.

I like Gillies at fullback and Frawley at CHB.
Frawley lacked his normal capacity to back himself at times last year so to push him up the ground (if that in fact happens) will be good for him I think as if he carries the ball as he likes to he'll already be on the HB line.

Stellar to kick 3+'goals. Bookmark it.

Will be the surprise of the season

The worst Melbourne line-up on paper I've seen for a long time!!

Believe me when I say that I would just LOVE for you to tell us exactly why this is the worst Melbourne line up in a long time. Please, do it.

Your explanation was everything I hoped it would be.

Agreed, how is this not better than the teams of 2009? Wait, '10 & '11 too.

Backline looks solid, big test for Tom Gillies but good luck to him.

Fowardline looks a lot better, Mitch is back, Sellar is in form and Pederson as a 3rd tall, to think a few years ago we didn't have any key forwards. Then add Byrnes and Rodan as a couple of smalls roving under those big guys looks good to me.

Midfield doesn't look to bad either, Viney and Toumpas on the wings just looks better on paper, hopefully they both have good debuts.

Can't wait for sunday.

Saw a bit of Gillies in VFL final series sat year - composed, contests effectively and a great spoiler! I like him a lot.

Yeh I remember seeing him too and wondering where do Geelong keep getting their talent from, hopefully he can do well at AFL level as well
