Only been number one on the waiting list for over a year, had the call that a spot had come up and my sister not pass on the message a month ago. Now we have an interview this arvo. For my son to start school next year at his hopefully new primary/high school that goes from grades 5 thru 12.

Not off to a good start tho, he isn't impressed that he can't take his gameboy to play with while I talk to the registrar.............I said "take a book to read, that would be a good alternative".......if only looks could kill..............

Anyway.........off to the headmasters office.........gawd it is still intimidating even all these years after finishing school..............

Good Luck Danni :)

Hope it's all going well, let us know ok. :)

Ooh headmaster's office. *shudders* ;) I've been out of school for 6 years now and I still get chills LOL

woah that is the first hint i'd take that he is gonna hate it. Grrh if only my parents listened when they told me i couldnt play footy when we had the interview at Caulfield Grammar  then when we said i wanted to play drums they said "oh no we call it percussion here"

Good luck to your son with the application. And if he gets in, hope he likes it and he's happy there.:)

Yay they have offered him a place!

Interview actually went very well. Even when the registrar said "now this is just one thing here son that isn't that great", while looking at his school reports and his interests sheets "we don't play Aussie Rules here, only Rugby Union and now some soccer". Poor little blokes face crumples before the registrar continued "but maybe you will be one of the ones to help change that"..........

I think my boy endeared himself from the beginning when asked "now what do you like about attending your current school?" and he answered "ummm the Maths tests, they are so easy I always get 20 out of 20, could you give me harder ones to do here please?" :)

And to top it all off, even tho he can't play aussie rules there, and has to learn a musical instument and particpate in the junior school band for the first year at least, he still came out smiling and wants to go there.

Glad that is all finally over!
