With VFL game at Wang between werribee and Collingood. give it to a couple of clubs with a bit of dash about them. Alb-Wod venues won't pull a crowd.

I wonder if they could play a curtain raiser to the VFL game at Wang. That would help build the crowd.

What's the "huge trouble"? Some drunk idiot on cricket trip assaults a club official, and Mark Cronin is ill.....has been advised by his doctor to stop working.

Tom Yensch on the move. Heading up the coast, but Panthers got ruck cover with Tim Hanna and Adam Elias. Hanna is from Hay and is raw. Lavi had to beat off Yarra for his signature as Damian Sexton coached him at Vic Country under-19 level and was keen as mustard to get him Pigeons colours.
 
Some intrigue down south of the comp, two Wang teams and Myrt circling around the Josh Porter. Mail around he will be available for second half of 2017. good get for someone as kid can play.

Tim Hanna is raw, but he is also no slouch. I watched him play for Hay during the year and his ruckwork was very good. I think I read on here earlier that he was "lanky", he's far from it. He is a really good size, has a good engine and loves physical contact. He's still young, so he has plenty to learn but will be a handy addition.
 
Whisperer is being told Albury star signing from last year, Sam Schultz, has had a setback in his recovery from a serious knee injury.
Hope it's not right for the kids' sake as he deserves a break, but if he doesn't come up, Setanta gone and Mellington missing early on, where do the Tigers turn to for goals? Maybe, just maybe they might be coming back to the pack.

Not good for Schulz if true. He had a shocking run with injury at GWS including the knee and shoulder ops.

That is more out of hope than fact. He has been backpacking and is fine- will be right to go. The goalkicking will be taken care of, watch this space.... Butts back to his home club from Yarra. Top 3 will be extremely tight after the Tigers, Yarra, Raiders, Lavi all look even. Lavington quite optimistic about their progression of kids as well as their recruitment of other kids.
 
Changing gears for a moment. Bushies considering four players to be "over-age" in 2017. Some or if not all in contention could be seen on more regular basis in OM depending how things pan out. Nick Richards (Wang) is a definite. He was interviewed by Adelaide in lead-up to draft and has elected not to follow a heap of his team-mates into VFL. Isaac Wallace (Wodonga) is in the mix. Had a stack of injuries, but can really play. Will be a good addition to Dogs on top of Marr and Williamson. Ben Paton (NA) had a fantastic season in TAC Cup. Top-10 in best and fairest after coming in as a top-ager from Mitta. Expect to him to be the more regular TAC performer. Also Billy Robertson (Alb) whose 2016 was a right off given his serious foot injyry also in the mix.

Points will handicap Raiders. Wouldn't be surprised if their best side is miles over the points cap.
 
Josh Porter has signed at Maggies for 2017 and beyond. Couldn't commit to another year of VFL and juggle Uni. Very good get. Was Werribee's best player in their final game of the season in my opinion hauling in 7 contested marks and booting two goals.
His signature could also see the return of more of the 2011 and 2012 Thirds premiership players as well.

He will be a good addition with Newton hopefully playing more games. They could push for top 3.

back to Tunga after only one season? Thought he did very well with step up to O&M.

Porter is a great get, particularly if he plays whole year, but as for Wang being in the top five next season is a stretch.
The Magpies are serial under-achievers and let their fans down when the whips are really cracking.
Their core group, Porters, Daine and Judd, Matt Kelly and co, are getting older.
The Saints have them more than covered considered one of the Sharp boys will be back from a knee reco, O';Shea better for year under his belt, Looby is a sensational pick-up and Hugh Wales could be one of the best players in the comp if he is 100 per cent right.

Former Murray Bushrangers player Iain McGilvray is returning to the region, almost signed at Corowa before CDHBU offered him a big sum of money, I have been told his weighing up his options.
