Ablett, Wojcinski to miss clash with Tigers

GEELONG superstar Gary Ablett and speedster David Wojcinski have been ruled out of Saturday night's clash against Richmond at Telstra Dome.
The club's medical staff confirmed the duo would not play this weekend, making the decision following the Cats' training session on Wednesday.
Ablett, one of this year's Brownlow Medal favourites, has missed the past two matches with an ankle injury, sustained in Geelong's round 15-win over Fremantle at Skilled Stadium.
Wojcinski has also missed the past two matches, but with an achilles injury.
But defender Darren Milburn (virus) is set to return against the Tigers, with midfielder Cameron Ling (cheekbone) also in the mix, subject to the results of a fitness test.
Half-forward Paul Chapman (hamstring) will be sidelined for the next two to three weeks after leaving the ground in the first half of last Friday night's win over Hawthorn.

we're better off not talking about it.

its times like these i wish i became a sniper !! i'd be hanging out near skilled stadium right now ..

Easy guys. You did alright against us last time when Ablett & Chapman were the 2 best players on the ground. Add Wojak to those losses and it would have to give you guys a little chance. :)

i was only havin a lil bit of fun before dude, i meant no malice in it lol ..

I reckon this'll be alot closer than most think, our midfield is performing a lot better now than last time we played them, which is the key. It was basically a matter of stop Foley stop Richmonds midfield, not so now. Add to that our much improved forward and backline structure and I'm confident of a much tighter game.

We have been playing pretty good footy at TD this year and with those players out (for Geelong) and if we play at our best it could be a close game. But I have been wrong before.

we havnt been playin too badly their either ;)
i think over the last two years our average margain is more then 70?:P
having said that, we havnt played there in a while

hope 4 a good game :)

Oh good, now we only have to worry about is Bartell, Corey, Ottens, Selwood, Milburn, Scarlett, Mooney, Johnson, Ling...........

Hate to say it but the only way we will win on Saturday is if Geelong get overconfident and play well below their best. We certainly can't afford a third quarter of a similar standard to the last few weeks. I'll be happy if we don't get smashed this week...

did someone say rain? if so, then TD good for us I reckon as Simmonds was useless in wet v Blake last time. Chapman and Ablett were BOG last time against us too...
