Sad to see the likes of Wiggins and Bentick go, but the reality is, they probably will, they've given their all for the CFC, but for so long, we've been crying out for quality, and we were never going to get anywhere while these guys were in our side.
As depth players, coming in to fill a gap (e.g Bentick today), it's okay, but when they're in our 18 or 22, we're struggling.
Hartlett will get another chance, possibly this week, in place of Setanta maybe, but I'd bring him in, and if Gibbs is fit, then Bentick probably misses, other than that, I wouldn't make any drastic changes, yes, even Russell keeps his place.

Harts is a real agressive CHF which i think we desperatly need. Can kick from outside 50 which is something i think were going to need if teams take the Melbourne game plan and set the ultra flood.
Russell is starting to finally hit his straps i think. Was pretty handy today and is begining to gain some momentum and confidence. Ratts has a lot of time for Russell and its starting to show.
Bentick will need to pull something out of a hat as Hadley has taken over his position and is doing a wonderful job
Wiggins is finished and lasted 3 years too long.

I've attended the last two Ants games, and have been very impressed, both by his impact and endeavour. Obviously needs to do it at senior level but he is a far better option than Setanta - he reads the play well, demands the footy, and will be a more than solid senior player barring injury.
Ryan Jackson also deserves another year. Has a HUGE engine, and with a bit more footy smarts can definitely make it.
The others I'm happy to thank and farewell.

Too early to write off Harts - have a feeling we might see him make an impact (snotting Richmond snipers aside) before the year is over.
Harlett is fine.
You can add Blackwell to that list. The likes of Aisake, Jackson, Edwards and Benjamin will need to show something this season to stay on the list and hopefully they do.

All i know is i wil be extremely happy if the giant pea heart hackland never plays another game for carlton. (and seeing the krueze, will be very surprised if he does)

agreed but he has been on our list since end of 04 and only played something like 5 matches? i know hes ben injured and shown i just think he needs 5 games in a row to get used to afl tempoI had previously written Harts off - but having caught glimpses of him vs. Tasmania .. Jake went OK, not as good as last week, but he continues to do all the right things. His hands were very strong on the lead, and his defensive pressure was also impressive.
Doesn't have a huge bearing on the games with Hartlett and Colbert being the primary targets up forward (Colbert absolute star), but Jake is doing nothing to suggest he isn't good enough for senior football.
Probably needs to get his hands on it a bit more, but every time he does get involved, his class is blatantly obvious.
Hartlett is ahead of him at the moment, but have been happy with Jake's recent efforts.

The guys in bold should stay as they are young and don't forget depth is needed at the club......it's fine when you are not getting injury or winning games, but there are certain times of the season that these players will be required.
As for Wiggins, Saddington & Ackland their 'use by dates' have expired and plenty of players have gone past them.
Spot on with these guys. Russell is starting to be a good contributor

was it late last year when we were getting flogged and hartlett played forward and really stood up took some nice grabs and kicked some goals. that just stands out in my mind. Keep him, lose ackland.
