This may be moved to Media but I would like to focus on Science based programs such as Catalyst and the Michael Mosley medical series. etc.

Monday night I sat entranced as I watched channel 7s Beyond 2020. In just the same way I sat glued to the tv watching Towards 2000 and Beyond Tomorrow. To see Holograms ( again) get a run was amusing. This technology is one I was promised many many years ago in the above 2 shows but still waiting for it to be fully developed. There was an interesting smart house which we can see just around the corner. Also focused on Driverless Cars.

Apparently it is an ongoing series as the title says Episode 1. Catch up at the usual spots

Let me know if you see any programs with a Science theme and post it here.

It was show everyone watched - there being only two TV channels where I lived.
2! 2!
Luxury.

ABC or bust when I was growing up.

Last nights Beyond 2020 ( now available on catch up) talks about ''companion robots, test virtual reality gaming, visit the sports stadium of the future, and experience zero gravity on earth. '' Also farming and other ideas.

Edit: The sports stadium of the future is Etihad and a Saints v North game. I have been to the MCG the last few times so did not know of the ''tablets'' at seats. Is that all seats or a selected area?

Saw Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey a couple years ago. It's a 13 part series hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson. Talks about the history of space, some evolution, and the important people who discovered new science at the time (Faraday, Maxwell, Newton etc.). It's pretty neat.

Also could anybody recommend me some space or science documentary documentary in general?

Try the original Cosmos, on DVD.
It's much much much betterer. (sic)

Those Michael Mosley medical history docos are so fascinating.

Medical history is equal parts gruesome, terrifying and involved some rather insane ideas and morally questionable practices. But a testament to human ingenuity, courage and compassion in the face of deep seated superstition and willful ignorance.
