Schultz and Patto are emergencies im suprised at the lions selection

they gain Bradshaw but they have dropped pike, Keating is an emergencie

We have a massive advatange in the ruck now if Stafford comes up

McLaren the lions ruck and i think Merret does a bit too?

I think we need to sacrafice richos game , get micheal away from the danger spots and get our 3rd tall , 1 out in the sqaure, the lions look like there a bit lite on for height down back

Beau MacDonald is an "in" for them. Isn't he a ruckman?

Good luck to Hydey !

I expect Pettifer to kick 3 this week.

Rumours of changes.......

Brisbane - Keating in for Bradshaw (said to be not right)

Richmond - Schultz in for ......... maybe a short (or injured tall)

Sorce = nothing overly reliable.
Time will tell.

geez their spine looks good.

I guess they must really out of form to have dropped three games at home.

Its does look good but slowly becoming a question of age and speed. Other teams have also learned to deal with their greatest strength, intimidation. It has been interesting to see the lack of respect for Brisbane recently compared to what they used to command from opposition teams. Its a cycle that has to happen but no mistake, they ain't gone yet.

I am confident we can win but its gonna be a struggle and a fantastic test for both sides, i.e. are we the real deal? and do they still got it? A pity both arent at absolute full strength but still.

I am looking forward to seeing the main board after a Tiger win here!!

Tigers are pretty much at full strength.
Brisbane are not obviously.

I seriously doubt either will be on the day but yet to be seen. Arguably we could have a better side that what has played the past few weeks.

Luke Power – hand – suffered a broken hand.
Richard Hadley – knee – ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament
Jared Brennan – quad – strained a quad muscle against St Kilda in Round 1 and has not responded to treatment as well as first thought. 1-2 weeks

Jamie Charman – leg – fractured his tibia against

Darryl White – rib – suffered a broken rib early in the Round 5 reserves match. Test

Beau McDonald – knee – undergoing strengthening work on his knee following posterior cruciate ligament problems dating back to June 2003. Indefinite

Beau is useless, get rid of him!No Loss actually a gain if he isnt playing.
Darryl White isnt what he used to be, plays in patches, somewhat a loss.
Brennan, yet to prove himself-injury prone.
Hadlee-played some good games last year and was close to cementing a spot-somewhat loss
Luke Power - Big loss
Charman - Big loss

Keating/Pike dropped out of form.

So Oh wise one, IMO i'd say Brissie has close to their best team bar two players Power/Charman.

You seem to know a lot about Brisbane ARES.
No mention of Bradshaw - he's been named the past 3 weeks. More smoke from Matthews? Was he training at full strength?

No not close to their best team. You're just saying that because you barrack for the Tigers. I hope the Tigers win though

I think the best thing we can do is not focus on them. We need to play to out strenghs and see where it takes us.
To play Stafford is a big risk, if he is under done he will be usless. IMO he needs to be %100. Shulz is also underdone.
Play Pattison again and give him the experience. ;)

I stand corrected on Stafford. A spy told me that Stafford didn't fly. Schultz did.

While I can understand why it might not be apparent to an opposition supporter, Hall and Stafford are actually very big losses for us. They have both been in career best form this year and, being in-form bigmen, contribute quite a lot to the structure of the team. Missing Stafford at full forward last week threw our structure out of kilt and losing Hall in addition this week from chb could do the same.

I think the odds are stacked against us this week. Brisbane will be desparate not to lose four in a row at home, they need to win to keep in touch with the eight, they have been returning to form winning 2 out of the last 3 (including an away game in Adelaide), Black is starting to hit some form after missing the first few games, and I'd hardly classify the likes of Lappin and Akermanis as slow old bastards just yet. Make no mistake. If we win this it will be a very big win for the club.
