If its true we the Thompson Deal is done , we should now offer our round 2 pick for Seaby and get him to Tigerland. We've got enough Kids on the list and we can pick the eyes out of the draft with the rest of our picks.

Can't wait to see who our pick 8 will be. We should run a book on it.

I like the fact the recruiting team keeps bringing young blokes that have talent and have already been in the system for 3 -4 years to our club. Thompson will learn alot at Richmond watching a guy like Andy Collins go about his preparation in the off season. Its a good trade.

Keep up the good work those 2 trades and kids will do me with whats been on the table thus far.

Time to concentrate on getting Robert Harvey or Hird to the club as assistant coaches.

not a smart move going into the draft with 1 pick in the top 50. unless if we trade for picks

No no no. Richmond are doing this perfectly.

Who reckons we'll get Seaby nice and cheap come 2pm Friday?

Yeah Seaby for pick 91 on Thursday would be nice , I just reckon make it happen , and yes if we are worried about 1 pick in the top 50 trade for picks , Tiva's , Hyde and Pettifer to Freo for pick 32 would be good.

Go Tigers , I'm excited Simmo , and Seaby what a combination. There's no use building this gun young midfield squad and not giving them first use of the ball.

Bring on Seaby V Warmcock in round 1 and watch Seaby snap Warmcock in the opening bounce.

Definitely TT thommo and i guess we can call him that will learn off Andy in the offseason and when not if we land seaby Andy can teach him the finer points of ruckwork, I think andy played in bendigo alongside son of collins and taught him plenty about the game

.

What a load of shit.

Would rather us pass on pick 26 than give it to WCE for that hunk of junk.

If they were smart, they couldve beaten Port to our third round pick, now its our 4th rounder and l'll throw in Collins to sweeten the deal just to get that cabbage of these boards.

;)

The only way I would go after Seaby in a trade now is a swap of players, no picks involved. If not close up the list for the year and just focus on getting the 2 best kids when picks 8 & 26 roll around.

Why does everyone want Seaby?
I mean yes he's a premiership player with 97 games experience but I really don't see him fitting into the team.
He's like 24 years old and I reackon that we should be giving Angus Graham a go (he is one massive unit)
:thumbsd:Don't bring Seaby to Tigerland

How can you want to put all our trust in Graham. Yes he is a big unit but not really proven. If we can get Seaby take him I say even at 24 that gives us 4 to 5 years with him and allows Graham time to grow into it give our 2nd round pick and JON(tho i think they would give us a pick to keep him):p.

PS Collins was great at Bendigo i can only hope to emulate the great man one day.:D

haha. nice work son of collins.

but seriously if we give pick 26 for seaby and don't land another pick in the 20's we are doing ourselves an injustice. this has the reputation of being a very strong draft into the 20's.

hold picks, trade out for picks. that should be the strategy from here on.

Bigstyle you make a great point and in theory it is right to say that but to just go that way is buying a ticket in the lotto we get a 17 yr old who may or may not be a gun in a few years. Seaby is proven and is def something we need to take a step up. I think we go for Seaby maybe trade Cleaver who imo is a bit one trick pony and get a late 20s early 30s pick. Obviously wat we say wont matter in the scheme of things but as i say go for Seaby if we dont get him then we wont lose the pick anyway but he is def a sounder choice then a complete unknown unproven. And if we are gonna get another Lids id say it will be 1st round pick not 2nd

WHOA..... HOLD THE PHONE!

:eek::eek::eek:
Son of Collins?

Is that why TigerTroy hasnt been posting recently? He's had the child of Andy C!!!

Congrats to the mother...and to the father...you could do so much better

and to the child...tell your dad to play a game of AFL....soon

I;d rather take Jeff White in the PSD for 1 year... and take a mid with pick 8 and a KPP with pick 26.

Jeff white is atheletic and has a huge motor... Was the prefered ruckman before Victoria this year before he got injured... would be cheap and better tha Seaby short term.

Up grade our 5th round pick for Raines... and keep Meyer.

I read that once and didn't like it. Then I read it again and thought why not?

We need to trade a player or 2 for picks if we are to get this guy cheap. I reckon we can pull it off too. We need a couple of draft picks, say a 2nd round and 3rd round and then the eagles can take the 2nd round pick off us, leaving us where we started and with the 2 players on our wishlist, on our list.

Someone or someones will be sacrificed if we are to get Seaby, its the only way IMO that we can get this deal and keep ourselves in the draft. ;)

Good plan Cogga , just make it happen I say.

seaby isnt worth a 2nd rounder - forget about him - he is a marshmallow

Right now, the only hurdle to us not getting Seaby is another side wanting him more, enough to put their 2nd rounder on the table. As long as there is no interest from elsewhere, i.e blues and dees going gaga for Warnock, we need to pick up 2 3rd rounders by trading a 1 or 2 players, which isnt that unfeasable, and offer them 1 of them and/or a player for him. We need to stand firm on this, we cant go to the draft without 8 & 26 at least, not this year anyway.
;)

Keep pick 8 use 26 on seaby.....picking up an experienced ruckman is the same as picking up a lotto ticket at 26 probably better than a lotto ticket as this one is a guarantee of a win, al the muppets that say pick an untried youngster are just that.....muppets.

Sure use 8 on a gun kid but tell me who will be left at 26?

And be left with picks 8, 58 and 74:rolleyes:

Someone better than at 74.

u dont get it beaver, seaby will still be in our premiership window, unless pick 26 is a cotchin, he will not be ready for our premiership window....without a experienced ruckmnan to support simmonds we wont have a premiership window in 2010-2011.

doesnt any one else see this or do we have to be rebuilding for another 28 years

My gut feeling is that Seaby will end up at Carlton with Judd. The Warmcock rukkas is just that , a rukkas. Carlton need a ruckman more badley than we do and they'll pounce tomorrow on Seaby. I'd like to think that West Coast will get reemed tomorrow just before 2pm with a high draft pick for Seaby but unfortunately it may go the other way and clubs will be throwing the 2nd rounders around like confetti for him.

I hope I'm wrong . As for this attitude that we need to get a 18 year old developing ruckman to grow over the next 4 years with our young group, PLEASE , we beat this years Premiers in rd 20 by 5 goals.

THE TIME IS NOW!
