I was Amazing THAT we won.

We really played crap.
Alot of players went missing and woosha kept taking cox off.As soon as he did, we got flogged in the ruck. They must have taken the ball out about double the amount we did.

I agree, and it amazed me why Woosha kept taking off the players that kicked the goals??

But, considering we've been on the end of losses like that before, its nice to have one go in our favour!!

Another thing, the stats in the end showed that they absolutely killed us all around the ground ;)

I dont know what Worsfold was thinking, from the moment that Kerr started on the bench I was scratching my head.

And how many players were taken off after goals? Its not the first game this season that that tactic has ****ed me off
 
Didn't think we would win when we reverted to playing the type of football we usually/always play in the eastern states, but they fought on in the end and we won. Would have liked to win by more, but a win is a win is a win!
 
I was puzzled by the use of our big men today. Every time Cox was Rucking we were in control. I know he could not ruck all day but at the end of each quarter we were letting the game slip. He saved him for the last ten minutes and we won. But as they say a guy as tall as him does not get any shorter. Even if he is worn out.

I noticed Gaspar limpimg after the game. Good that we have a two week break.

I thought Lynch was great. We reverted to a midget forward line at times. Embley and Haynes are not tall enough for key posts. At times I felt they could have left Lynch at FF and provide a contest.

To Wooshas credit he started with Kerr Judd and Fido on the bench. He must have reckoned that the game would be physical early. It was and we managed to stay in the game.

Well done Eagles.

Some of Whoosha's tactics were rather strange?? Taking off goal kickers...starting Fido and Kerr on the bench, taking Cox off the ground for long periods of time and in the last quarter, at one stage, Punda, Jako and Matera all on the bench??...but who cares, whatever he did, it worked! We won by a point! :D

Thats exactly right.
I was a bit bewildered by a few decisions BUT we won,so they worked, or at least didn't fail, and thats all i will have to say about it. Woosha seems to be trying many things, they don't just see this year as a year to make the finals, they see it as a year to experiment and work out a few plans for future years.

Good on him, great to see pretty much the same list as last year (only Judd and Lynch added really, Seira for a few games, but he was on last years list) winning games, when supposebly as the vics said the list sucked:P

Some of the decisions were very strange, but a win is credited to us. I think if we played a better side, we would have been flogged. Most of the players still seem to be well below par when we play away. Kerr, Wirra are a couple who seem to drop off each time we play away. Just hope this win now clears the mentality of not able to win away.

Adelaide in a fortnight is a dangerous game for us. This win away could count for nought if we lose our first home game against the crows.

Cheers mate...everybody seems to just forget that West Coast won, rather that Carlton lost but its cool by me. We continue to fly under the radar, everyone is talking about how well Freo have turned around from last year and how Collingwood are now a real premiership threat, more talk even about Geelong and Melbourne and the Bulldogs on how they have turned things around...but im happy with that.
