Being able to buy games for 30 days would be good. Most games you get sick of by then anyway. Only a couple that stand out make you keep coming back. It'd be good if you could then buy the game at a discounted price but I doubt that'd happen.

Interesting video review for OnLive. Talks and shows off some of the features while giving some explanation on how they are actually working to the end user.

What seems the best thing to me out of all of it really is the Arena mode. That seems to be a feature that to me is better than the actual "paying for games" model. It's something that you get to see hundreds of thousands of people playing a game in real time, not some pre-made, pre-thought out fluff that might get put onto youtube or some shitty pixelated arse vid from Justin.TV.

I just like the fact that you can watch someone playing a game as real as it can be, making mistakes, not knowing what to do and make your decision to buy from that. Plus the rating system sounds pretty cool too (would be awesome for a sports game getting cheered on).

However the fact that the guy says that actually playing the games provides lag is just something that despite something that is meant to provide as minimal lag as visually and physically possible it'd still hinder the gameplay. And you can only imagine an online game would just be worsened even more by this.

How much bandwidth would it use? seems to me it would be a lot.
I don't think there's been any numbers put up (or at least I don't really care to research it enough to find any;)). But it would definitely be a bandwidth drain. You'd think that eventually if it were to come to Australia they would have to do deals with ISP's to have the bandwidth not count towards your monthly usage (like MS do with a iiNet and a few others?).

Would only work in Australia with local servers and the NBN

OnLive has now been sold, no mention of who the acquisition was by, should be named soon. OnLive will still continue.
