Opening threads about players

Hopefully I'm not stepping over my mark here, but I've noticed a lot of threads opening about 'Everything player x'. Just reminding people about 'Change Rooms', where we've actually got threads for every Melbourne player on our list. By posting there, you help segregate the individual debates of football, from everything else and I personally think it makes the page and content look better.

It's weird how Hell and The Change Rooms never really gets used, apart from a few select posters. I know this is something the mods should probably deal with, again sorry if i'm out of my depth so to speak, just though it was something worth voicing.

Yeah good call PureFooty, obviously certain players will need dedicated main-board threads (Watts) but for specific questions posters should try to hit up the Change Room threads as much as possible.

I'll just add my agreement but the change rooms is more as I've been advised a place for information to be collected about a player - previews, reviews, media articles, but not so much discussion.

That board really needs player champions that add everything pertaining to that player. That way it becomes the place to go for player related info.

I would agree with you that the Change Rooms is not really for discussion but it's still not used enough - do we really need it? Can we use the official preview thread to add links to any articles that obviously pertain to that weeks games? Or is the change rooms important?

Certain players deserve main board discussion imo. Watts (always), Jones last year, Trengove this year... i've been thinking about making one for Garlo too. Deserves it on his form this year.

In the back half of the year, a "keep/trade/delist" thread usually opens up, which kinda becomes a discussion thread for players.

The only problem I have is people can justify making one for any player. McKenzie's Sh*t form, Toumpas, Viney being yonug, Clark, Trengove, Sylvia, McDonald, Gawn, Magner all could have one for what ever reasons.

The Gawn one is because he became our cult hero when Juice was delisted.

I agree about not making ones for just any old player. I did notice the Toumpas one, but if I'm not mistaken, that was opened by a non-melbourne BigFooty person wasn't it? (Or atleast a non-regular to this board MElbouren fan).
