I know he is contracted but please collingwood go after this man.

We all know how damaging a player he can be and its good he had a bad season as his market value has gone down significantly.

He would Instantly make our midfield elite and maybe prepel us towards the same level as the saints and cats next year.

Imagine this midfield

C - Didak, Swan, Davis
R- Fraser, KERR, Pendlebury

That is an insane midfield it is the perfect mix of class, skill and hunger and hardness.

If he comes to collingwood not only will he make himself better but the likes of swan, didak, and pendles even better.

He is a hard body, exactly what we need. He will tear it up if hes not tagged, and if he does swan or pendlebury will dominate.

please i know hes contracted but have a dip at him collingwood, through west cost some bate and see if they want it.

1st rounder, 2nd rounder and one of goldsack/wellingham

what are your thoughts? do you rate kerr? do we have a chance of bringing him here? will he be the difference??

Pure gun and exactly what we need would love Kerr at our club but not gonna happen.
A- Contracted so West Coast hold the aces and would want too much for him.
B- Would have left last year if he wanted to
C- If he were to leave all indications are Carlton is the prefered choice to play with
Chris (Lil Juddy) Judd

I'm not to sure carlton would take him to be honest, they have a gun midfield going forward and they are crying out for a tall forward. They wouldnt waste their picks to get kerr in the last full draft in some time.

We should throw a huge amount of money at him, and see if he caves in.

Problem is mate its not up to him hes contracted so only WC can decide to trade him, what Kerr wants doesnt come in to it.
But i do hear you, super player.

Kerr trade talk Again !!!I was At every Home Eagles game this year , Kerr brilliant match-winner vs WB and PORT other than that tagged out of games and absolutely crippled by injury at end of season.

Reports from pre season Kerr had knee surgery unable to do any running for 3-4 months, now suffering from groin problems.Juddy calls him the peoples champion and has won WC many important games.

Kerr's body is struggling a warrior for WC in premiership assult 2005-2006 but maybe now WC contract for 4 years is really Super Fund for his previous in and under / clearance work.:):)

Yeah, keep dreaming.

Last year you would of had a chance with your first rounder and a player, this year there is just no option because he is contracted. But you wouldnt have Sidebottom and another decent young player in your side now, could be in a grand final though.

Haven't been on for a while but it looks like the idea of getting Kerr to Collingwood hasn't vanished :p

Now i'm no expert, but wasn't Kerr contracted last year? I'm fairly sure he was only coming out of contract at the end of 2009 but he signed an extension.

A player like Kerr as handy as he is, is starting to lose a little value and i wouldnt have thought that they would give their first draft pick for him, based on his last two years.
Collingwood doesnt need another player in the team that cant shrug off a tag. The big 3 struggle when heavily tagged, so this could contribute?? If they started to play for eachother and help one another out, then he would be ideal, but i dont think they could get their hands on him.
I would think Tuck would be in the mix and player of Luke Balls ability, who struggles to get game time for the Saints could be a better fit for the club??

Id expect Pendlebury straight swap. As would Woosh otherwise tell em there dreaming

we need a super trade, for example:

collingwoods pick 14 + josh fraser to richmond
in return we get richmonds pick 3
then we give west coast pick 3 + a west australian born player (i.e. shannon cox)

it would be the only way of getting west coast interested enough. but would richmond bite???

People need to realise trading for Kerr just is not going to happen. We would need to give up an enormous amount before West Coast would even entertain the idea - something that would be ridiculously unfair for us no doubt. He is contracted and won't be going anywhere. They're the seller, we are the buyer and as such they determine the price.

The much much more realistic option would be to chase Burgoyne. He has already walked out on Port so he is up for grabs. As he has walked out his price is cheaper. When you compare both Kerr and Burgoyne they are very similar in many ways.

There is nothing wrong with our current midfield. All these talks of trading half of our starting 22 are just knee jerk reactions to one poor finals performance. What happened to the threads about how good we are that we were seeing four weeks ago? Seriously, I wouldn't think about trading anyone unless we could secure a top four draft pick or an established ruckmen. And I wouldn't be giving away any of our best player for them either.

Pick 14, Davis, Cox and Rusling should do it. They need another forward as lynch as at the end, Davis some wing play to help out the youngsters, and Cox to replace Wirrapunda.

Lol, anyone else? A pick & 3 players will not happen. They have a handy enough forward line. LeCras, McKinley, Kennedy and Callum Wilson are all good types and will provide an exciting future for WCE.

you must be joking, kerr actually wins his own ball, burgoyne is primarily a reciever. We have no chance of getting kerr we should have got cousins when we had the chance.

I don't think you have seen much of Burgoyne play. He is a very very good clearance player. He had 18 in one game against us a few years back . They are both very slippery clearance mids who are equally comfortable playing outside, both good pace, good footskills and goalkicking sense. They also both have injury question marks, struggle with tags, and aren't the best defensively. I'd say they are both very similar players in their style, strengths and weaknesses. Both are potentially top 10 players in the comp. The difference is one is contracted and the other has walked out on his club demanding to be traded to Victoria. That means that WC can and will demand the world for Kerr - and rightly so. Port are now in a situation where they are going after the best deal and while they will still get a bit for Burgoyne they can't really dictate the price to quite the same degree. Kerr is a lost cause, Burgoyne is a great chance. It's interesting that Burgoyne was supposed to choose his preferred destination yesterday - yet hasn't - on the same day we were linked to Burgoyne in the Adelaide papers. If we chase anyone we should chase Burgoyne.

We'll have to agree to disagree i just think burgoyne is a leon davis style of player and we've already got a few of them. burgoyne has also struggled as port has dropped off which tends to indicate he's a front runner and a reciever. on the other hand geelong's got plenty of them(recievers) and they're playing in there 3rd grandfinal straight.

Sorry mate agree with Quicky here, Burgoyne and Kerr are very similar in style of play but Burgoyne is a more realistic chance to come to us than Kerr as remote as that is as well.
Fwiw Kerr IMO is the better player hands down, Burgoyne as good as he is averages 16 touches per game, Kerr can do anything Burgoyne can but can constantly rack up 30 touches, no contest.
