Sign Dusty, Sign Conca we dont need midfielders from other clubs our biggest priority should ve finding a small forward who can kick goals.

Yes Jack played a different.role this season but we were to.predictable if our talls didnt kick goals we were stuffed. Whenever we play Blues the amigos tear us to shreds. Find a genuine goal kicking small forward!

Shane Edwards back into the role he played in '11, Matt McDonough going along nicely, Jake King still has a bit to offer and Chris Knights back from injury.

It's not our biggest problem, would be nice to get a nice small forward as insurance but who's on the market?

We do need a small forward who can not just kick 35 goals a year, but also to provide that spark that we lacked last weekend. A gun small forward is also less predictable than our current set up.
I'm not a huge fan of Yarran, mainly because I think Carlton have played him out of position, due mainly to having Betts and Garlett already in that role.
I reckon he'd thrive as a permanent small forward and I believe he will be tradable.

No need to trade for one, take a punt on Willie Rioli in the rookie draft and let him work under Mark Williams (the good one, obviously) and see how that goes. Other that Cyril Rioli the majority of the proper small forwards in the AFL have come later in the draft or in the rookie draft.

The only two small forwards you would trade for are Walters and Rioli and neither of those will be traded.

I know a small forward who could provide a spark as a small forward. He's not too bad at crumbing either. Actually quite good at it:) Age is against him though.

Doesn't mind playing on the MCG either :)

I actually wouldn't mind him for a year while we develop another small forward. With the amount of ball coming into our forward line he'd surely average 2 goals a game.

I mean look I'm probably way off the mark, I assume (unless someone knows better) Richmond are not interested in Andrew because of his age. He will be 31 this year.

I just thought I would throw it up as an idea. I'm probably dreaming.

I haven't spoken to Andrew since Collingwood delisted him on Tuesday, I thought I would give him some space and just let him work a few things out etc.

According to this article (see below), he is on the look out for a new club.

I guess time will tell if he gets picked up at another club. I hope he does. I think he has something to offer but as I said him being 31 next year might not be a good thing. Mind you though he had a four year absence from the AFL so he is still fairly fresh and injuries wise the only major injury he has had was the knee which he did in 2012 - which required a knee reco.

Anyways who knows what is going to happen and I don't know if Hardwick and co are interested in Andrew or not. I guess they would have to decide if he can fit in with the team and structure etc etc.

By the way, Nahas was Andrew's replacement in that specialist small forward role when Andrew was delisted by Richmond. It seems Nahas is on the outer at Tigerland, not that I know anything but from someone looking in it appears that way. In fact since Andrew left Tigerland, I don't think there has been a small crumbing forward as good as Andrew and as others have said, a small quality crumber would be handy - very very handy.

Jake King is good but not like a natural crumber. He tries his heart out but there is always a spot for him. Tich Edwards - pretty good on his day but again crumbing wise...50/50.

Anyways just my thoughts.

Feel free to agree or disagree etc etc.

Cheers.

If Krak had something to offer he would have at Collingwood. They've booted him. Fat=no interest.
He's not that good. Never was. Moments of brilliance, years of not much.

Edwards should be the one, had his chance to be the x factor on Sunday and didn't get a sniff. I hope it lights a fire in his guts, if it doesn't he's gone too.

He is a small forward with that xfactor, he kicks goals when you need them, shane edwards is better served in the middle, he is by no means a goal sneak..

Krak, on a 1 year deal, low end wage for a listed player, would be a win win for both parties

Why should we punt on someone who couldnt be bothered getting fit at Collingwood?
Mate, give it up, he hasn't got the desire to play at the level.

I agree. Shanes best work is in congestion, getting the ball out to space. Generally the only space around congestion is hb to hf line. Also I dont he reads the ball well in flight either. His role is hf line with rotations thru the centre. He has played that role ok this year.
