Still can't get over how tough Townsend is. He was smashed into by some lightweight and came out unscathed as if nothing happened. I really do think that Townsend makes up for three or four draft blunders that we have made over the years. This kid is a hidden gem that will continue to shine as time goes by.

Playing union as a kid definatley helps imo.

Didn't even fumble the mark. Saw the contact coming. Braced for it. Caught the ball. Did not flinch or fumble! What's not to love. His gf performance is highly underrated. Smashed a number of crows. Has carried it on into 2018. But seriously that mark was something else.

Edit: having thought about this a little more - his rugby league background would have helped. Catching the ball as he's about to get smashed. He instinctively knew how to brace (at speed) and catch the ball simultaneously. They just normally do it with a ball that's traveled 4-5 metres not 50!

I remember when we got him it was the off season after Miles had his breakout year and everyone was hoping he’d be another hidden GWS gem. I and many others were sceptical he’d ever be as good as Miles. Amazing how their stocks totally reversed since then.
