Port Adelaide could do us a huge favour in terms of our top 4 prospects if they beat Geelong today. Scores are level at 23-23 early in the second quarter.

That’s the end of Port Adelaide
That didn't last long lol
It was always going to be a massive task at Kardinia Park. I was surprised they were that close in the second quarter tbh. 5 goals isn't a huge margin at halftime, but you'd think it's unlikely they'll come back from here.

I’m just thinking top 8…. Let’s just get there first
That's fair. We're very close, but I understand the hesitation. Sitting 5th at the end of round 21 is a hard one to comment on because you obviously want to stay in the running for a top 4 spot, but you also know a few bad losses could be disastrous.

Good result
Yep. Keep the Dockers below us so we don't face any potential trips to Perth later on. Freo and the Dogs face each other in round 24 so one of them will miss out on a win as a result. Assuming Carlton win tonight, we only need to win two more games to guarantee finals because we're 15% ahead of the Dockers (which acts as another win) and the Dogs can only win a maximum of 15 games. So this upcoming GWS game at home could very well be the one where we seal out spot in September as long as we handle business against Carlton next week.

Wish we could of killed Richmond like Geelong have
84 points (in the rain) isn't a killing? Geez it's hard to please some people.

Geelong just made it look a lot easier

Clearly defence was priority but yeah always good to kick 20 goals

Just goes to show we can’t rely on miracle wins in other games. We have to win our games ourselves and control our own destiny… Starting by beating Carlton, who showed a bit of spunk away today.

Since round 14. Top 9 vs bottom 9 now 34-1

The one loss Sydney were favs anyway at home against Freo

We’ve got 3 of those games left. Can’t be dropping any
