in the context of the interview he is explaining that if a player wants to come here we will do what we reasonably can but that there's a limit to what we can do (referencing dodo being dodo)

I know what Davies was trying to say I would have prefered him to have left the word responsibilty out of it. He went too far, it might have been better to have said we will do what we can and left it at that.

Personally I would offer the #57 pick and leave it at that but if we have a responsibility to Fantasia we will probably go higher.

Here's something I just thought about. If Fantasia doesn't get traded and decides to not go back to Melbourne. If he retires he gets automatically delisted. What's to stop us from picking him up in the mid-season draft in Round 4? Other than a bunch of clubs have picks before us.

He can just rock up to training and meetings, keep getting his pay cheque and then come as an FA to port at the end of the year lol. Then we don't pay a ****ing thing, and the bombers get a pick in the 40s as compo.

Nothing. But he may be kept on the list in order to get something next year.

Or traded to the Crows.
