As someone posted I also would be worried about his leap, I do not think he has had much luck since joining us and this is a big blow for us the way he has come on. A speedy recovery Oscar and no lingering concerns, he has been superb as a young and inexperienced ruck with a great leap, good luck mate you certainly deserve it.

ACL confirmed.

I know it's probably just me but from all available options for 2nd ruck , I'd be thinking about Darcy Moore.

Nope its not just you. I've been thinking the same thing. He has a good leap, so he could directly replace Steene for imo the new most influential position (ruck). The only issue is that he has dodgy calves. The other person I would be looking at is Frampton (I would push McStay back). But I'm thinking that the club will be conservative and just let McStay ruck.

We aren’t breaking the one thing that isn’t broken. Frampton stays at full back.

Darcy Moore dad was a great ruckman so why couldn’t Darcy be one too isn’t Darcy taller then peter

I don't mind trying this out, because it is due to necessity - not a statement on Darcy's defensive capacities.
As the captain, there would be no need to explain this to him.

Darcy might be taller than Peter, but I don;t think he has the same solid build.

The reason why i am thinking that DarcyM as second ruck might be better than any other option we have is because he loves to play aggressively and in the centre, he will already be able to spring into action whichever way he judges to be necessary.

Once again though, this role does not have to be assigned to one individual player, it could be rotated.

Excuse the intrusion just dropping in to say speedy recovery big fella, what a player he is going to be.

Love watching young blokes come in and have an impact, and this bloke certainly has, great to watch. All the best Oscar go well.

Injuries like this can eat a big bag full.

The height of the average ruckman is about 10cm taller now than it was in Peter's era. Besides Darcy is too injury prone .

Back on topic , ****ed for Oscar , the literal first game he gets as 1st ruck this happens

If he gets injured playing ruck it's not going to matter so much this year - we are not going to be featuring prominently in September action. This is a good chance to try something different and Moore in the ruck is the best of the options available. Moore can take the centre bounces where contact is minimal compared under the new rules.
