OT - Jason Akermanis - Classless

Has there ever been a more classless piece of work to grace a football field.

On the footy show last week and at the Bownlow tonight he had another cheap shot at Leigh Matthews. He seems to forget that Brisbane still have a huge say in where he plays next year. I just hope Brisbane shaft him and he ends up anywhere but The Doggies, no disrepect to The Doggies.

He's a perfect example of the player thinking he is bigger than the club.

The only problem with that thinking is that Brisbane can't shaft him. He is contracted to them and the only way a trade can take place is if he agrees to it. Brisbane won't him gone but I am sure he would be quite happy to stay at Brisbane and pick up a large sum of money for doing sweet **** all

but we can only expect better behaviour from those capable of it.

what I meant with regards to Aker - that regardless of right or wrong - he feels very let down by his footy club. It's very easy to say that someone should sit down and take it, but he probably feels he is standing up for himself.

"He feels let down by his club" ahhh poor little Aka. You're right there are two sides to every story but unfortunately the little "whoa was me" Aker can only see one side. What does he expect. Name another player who has publically rubbished his club and coach in the media as much as Akermanis has. Even if Matthews was a little tough with him, that's no excuse. If it was, half the players who played under Blight, Chocco etc should be writing their memoirs.

Aker's own teammates voted to oust him. Says it all IMO. He's burned far too many bridges. I reckon the Bulldogs have rocks in their heads to take him, but that's their decision.

He meant a couple of years back when Roo just missed out and the Port function cheered when he didnt get votes in the last round which could have won it for the Roo

I see Shane Woewodin was also there so maybe there is a table for ex Brownlow winners as well.
