Don't be so sure catluke. There are still two days of trading left and if it comes down to it, Richmond will take Geelong's offer if it is the best on the table. They won't let Ottens go to the PSD because it will be too costly for them.

I'm quietly confident we will still get him, we are surely the team in the best position at this stage.

If they end up asking too much, Bomber will knock it back and we'll have another crack in 2005. 4th place this year with such a young team is a great foundation for next year - Ottens or no Ottens.

You guys have a heap of midsized players, so losing one of them is the sacrifice you would have to make. The bulldogs offer is awesome, but Ottens will probably refuse to go there lol. The report on the AFL site was the Dogs pick 6 plus Gilbee for Ottens and I for one would be very happy with that. If Ottens refuses to go Richmond can always orchestrate another Veale deal.

I wont be surprised if Geelong misses out altogether and it will be all their own fault! None of the other clubs are saying that Richmond's price is too high and if Nathan Thompson is worth picks 10 & 26, Ottens is definately worth more. If Geelong was serious they would do what it takes to get him! They just want to have their cake and eat it too.

If Geelong are serious they will give Collingwood one of their midfielders in order to secure the draft pick that will deliver Ottens to the club.

Now that Thompson is at North, Simmonds said wants to come to Richmond and according to the Hun, Whitnall might become a Saint, The Cats are running out of options. They will have to pay the price if they want a realistic chance at next years premiership, otherwise they will have another competitive non-premiership winning year.

Ottens straight up isn't worth one of Kelly ,Bartel Tenace or S.Johnson so that is why they won't be traded.Would tiger fans trade Coghlan or ........ ?Coghlan is the only player at richmond comparable. But if you had others you wouldn't trade them. And since when do richmond supporters want to see collingwood get a good player?

He will win you the premiership, but he is not worth anything but some throw away hacks. Not worth any of your top 15 players. What a joke

Rumour has it that as the minutes pass, Ottens more and more likely to resign at Richmond. I hope he does. Enjoy having Playfair at Full forward!

What is more important to you ? a h/forward flanker such as kelly or Johnson or someone who you could structure your forward line around ! Geelong have so many good midfield/forward types it's not funny so i don't think losing 1 is as important as you think !
