there seems to be a gaping whole in our forward line, and that is due to the fact we have no chf. personally i would love to see bizzell tried there when nicho, ellis and braody are back as we will have extra height in defense. im sure the dees have planned to put luke molan there, but with injury prohibbiting him to be able to proove him self that he is right man for the job. who would you put at chf???????/ i reakon biz is the man

Robbo's the Centre Half forward.

Bizzell's doing too well in defence to be moved away at this stage.

Wheatley & Bruce are good options.

I think Rogers lacks the size & confidence to play there.

Molan is worth a shot once he's fit.

Robbo's not the answer for CHF, neither is Wheatley.

I was a bit suprised we didnt try Breese there while we had the chance or even pushed Rogers up the ground a bit. I think Molan will be more suited to a defensive role.

Robbo will be the fill-in for most of the year but until we get someone decent who can play there permanently and consistently we'll still be struggling to crack into the top 4.

Agree with you Broadbridge.
CHF's are not easy to find.....you really need a big strong guy, and it doesn't hurt if they have had some experience, because you don;t want a skinny tall young kid in such an important possie.

They better do some good recruiting next draft

Cheers:o

My friends who went down to Frankston at the weekend were very impressed with Luke Molan who was coming back from injury and saddled up for Sandringham. He played half a game and kicked 4.1 (all in the first quarter while at FF). He marked strongly and kicked straight and the word is out that with some match fitness he will walk into the Melbourne team.

I hope like hell that is true! Molan has terrific hands and he's a pretty big boy. That might have only been down at Sandy, but to kick 4.1 in a quarter still takes some talent.

Let's hope he keeps it up!

Size is Molan's great asset. He's one of the few of our many candidates who's got the weight to back up his height. I was very disheartened when I heard he'd been injured a few weeks back as he must've been ahead of Aaron Rogers in his development. I hope his injury hasn't affected his overall fitness & more importantly his confidence. 4.1 at Sandy is a good start but his lack of exposure to senior footy worries me a bit, apart from what 1 quarter in a practice match vs Sydney last year he's missed Last years Sandringham finals(where Miller & Breese impressed in key positions) & this seasons praccy games. I just hope we don't put too much pressure on the kid, although i am eagerly awaitng his senior debut.

He will be behind the others IMO, but if he can stand up in the Sandy team and continue some form, I have no doubt he will walk straight into our side!
