Ok new at this, I am really worried that we can't challenge the likes of Hawks, Swans, Freo cos we don't have a tandem pair of gun forwards. Cloke goes missing in big games to often and White just does not cut it?
I believe we should be chasing a key big forward rather than the talk around Treloar, Aish etc, we have great depth in our midfield now and going forward for years to come

to be the third tall, forward flanker with pinch hit in the ruck.we need a second tall
to make us a fret for the flag

We need to start investing in some young KPF and get games into the likes of Moore and Gault.
However Hawthorn have shown a spread of medium forwards can compliment one KPF.

Any luck we get another KPF this year or maybe pry one out of the expansion clubs.

The problem if we leave it too late we won't have a dominant forward when we look to be contenders and Cloke is in decline.

Freo don't even have one gun key forward. These days having two gun key forwards isn't essential for winning a flag anyway.

Sydney had what 3 key forwards in the grand final last year and got belted. Key forwards dont always win you premierships...... Gun midfields on the other hand...

I do agree that KPP should be the top priority in this trading and draft period though.

I am so goddamn sick of these threads that will just turn into Jesse White hate threads.

We have a good forward line. Yes, Jesse White should have kicked that goal on Friday, but people seem to forget he's having a very good season.

We have an abundance of goalkickers. Cloke, White, Elliott, Crisp and our very capable midifeld (swan, pendles, etc) can all kick goals.

Our forward line is not the problem. It's the midfield.

Don't get the White hate, clearly he plays a role in where we are now and might not be a natural footy player but he has been very consistent this year and you know what you will get.

Cloke didn't register a major and no hate coming his way.

People also seem to forget that White played a good chunk of the game in the ruck. Cloke on the other hand, played the entire game in the forward line. Yet no one criticizes his game.
