Any leaks on our 2014 fixture?

You don't realise how much you rely on knowing the fixture to sort your life out until you can't quickly refer to it! Do I want to go on a holiday in May? Well I'm not sure...

We play hawthorn and geelong twice, and round 1 is against either WB freo wce GC STK or brisbane away is my educated guess

That's all I know at the moment

We'll definitely play carlton twice. They finished top 6  given we finished in the middle 6, we have a maximum of 2 double up games versus the top 6.

I'm most interested which bottom 6 team we'll play twice as per our AFL fixture guarantee.

Teams we'll play twice, my guess:

Cheats (salary cap variety)
Cheats (PED variety)
Brisbane
Western Bulldogs
Hawthorn

Freo at Subi in round one.;)

Then the following weeks a few other top teams to put Pies down the ladder, hopefully those few brutal games will result in a few injuries. We can't be eased into the season like AFLSwans did with the Giants, byes and Melbourne.

But I guess, in the middle of the year I guess we kind of have to play Melbourne, GWS and Saints at least once - so we'll get that begrudgingly altogether and the bye as well.

Then at the end of the year, all the teams that beat us this year, we'll play just before finals including the premiers.

This is too easy!

According to The Age we might have to play a Sunday night game.

Surely the only way this idea could work was if it was prior to a holiday Monday?

Here's Caro's article;

Sunday night television is set for a football revolution with the AFL to trial up to three prime-time games on Channel Seven for the first time in that timeslot in 2014.
The move means that next year's home-and-away season will feature 7.40pm games on five of the seven week nights from Thursday night through until Monday night with the Sunday night fixture seen by the league as a long-term prospect - preferable and more practical than Monday night.

Not a fan of this Sunday night talk. Twilight games are bad enough.

Saturday 4:30 is undoubtedly the worst time for a game ever.

I don't mind the Sunday night game.. It'll give me something to watch
