I really loved what we did with the kicking in. having hurn play on and getting a shepherd for an extra 15 metres then bombing it down the middle to a waiting niknat who smacks it on. that was genius. i just cant remember if we did it last week vs essendon or if this was the first time. talk about rebound footy took us about 10 seconds to get to our side 50m arc.

I thought it was uber sexy aswell because Hurns about the only bloke who can roost it 70m every time he gets it and Naitanui is about the only bloke in the AFL who can knock the ball behind him at every contest and get to the ball first with his leap. Seems to be a plan they are working on at training

Love the bunger bombs!

Forces a pack of half a dozen going up, the smart Eagles will stay down and feed of the fist of Naita then run hard and hit Kennedy lace out.

Good way to completely bypass a zone. Instead of chipping it through with good skills just get Hurn to roost straight over the top.:thumbsu:

Stuff that pin point stuff just get it forward uber quick! Why wouldnt you with LeCras and Kennedy in the forward line, even McKinley can turn something from nothing also.

If the opposition wants to leave the forward line open id back a Kennedy and LeCras one on one any day of the week no matter how the ball comes in, half the time there isnt a defender within 20m of the arc anyway.

Yeah 60 m accurate bombs will destroy a zone. Can't wait to see Nicoski back in form helping out.

Despite Wilkes being heavily criticized, i will say his disposal was still miles ahead of Mckenzie who i've never seen kick a drop punt that actually spins properly.

Butler also is a short kick but at least accurate.

Don't know how Bones has fallen so far but he would also be a plus when trying to get the ball out of defense.

I liked it.

At least if it goes to a pack and the opponent wins possession they still are a kick out from their forward 50.

I imagine teams will get smarter and perhaps send a second person down to the goal square to attempt to stop Hurn gaining that extra distance maybe?
