Why so baggy? Makes it easier to tackle. Compare them to Sydney's on the weekend, and the rest of the teams for that matter. Ridiculous!

Clutching at straws much? Or a serious matter?

I've thought about this before. Some sides seem to all wear skin-tight guernseys as though it's a policy, Sydney for instance, ours end to be fairly baggy as you say.

It's an insignificant matter but occasionally it probably would be the difference between a tackle sticking and not.

You gotta have the ball first to get tackled...

It depends on the guernsey manufacturer. ISC have switched to a tighter, stretchier polyester this year. Puma's fabric has remained the same for a few years now, I believe they last changed at the beginning of 2008, coinciding with the new collar. KooGa, Adidas, Nike, New Balance and Star Athletic also provide tighter jumpers than Puma do.

do teams average more tackles against us than other sides?

Personally I think Puma needs to redo the jumper, larger wings, removal of the white and tri panel for three winged jumpers, tighter jumpers. Alternatively I would be very pleased with a move to Adidas, Nike but my favourite would be to be the first team sponsored by Under Armour!

Collingwood custom make each jumper for every player. Apparently they make the midfield and defenders jumpers skin tight, but make the forwards looser so that the umpire can see if their jumper is being held in a contest.

I wish ours were tighter too now. I'm a bit sick of Puma it's not as professional looking as Nike or Adidas.. If you look at AFL guernseys from 2001 they are so shiny and reflective and so so loose. Funny how fashion/tech/human ingenuity improves when you always wonder how can it get any better. Even 2006 they are so baggy
