Travelling again. A bit tough. We should really be playing one of those melbourne teams that lost, or played this week in melbourne at subi.

I think playing interstate is the right decision. It then gives us a home game and a weeks rest before round one. The alternative would be a home game then an away game before the week off.

I really hope they rest the big guns in Adelaide and let the youngsters travel.

ADELAIDE v WEST COAST AAMI Stadium 8pm Friday March 5th

According to the AFL, your game is at 7.30pm Adelaide time, making it 8pm in Melbourne and 5pm in Perth.

One thing I'd like to see in these next two scratchies, is Cox given lighter duties- he's probably had the heaviest workload of any eagles over the last fortnight (and has been fantastic), and with Gardie coming into round 1 without a proper preseason, we're going to need Big Dean to be fresh.

This scratchie would be a good one to give Seabs or Johnson primary rucking duties.

Agreed. Ideally Seaby/Johnson & Beeck should all get some ruck work in the remaining scratchies. I'd like to see Beeck & Lynch have a run in the forward line as well.

Quarter time Score

Adel 4.8
WCE 1.0

Not surprising given the cattle, or lack thereof.

Sad for him but he is a player on the fringe of the 22 that we can cover. Having said that, this is our worst pre-season injury toll in quite a few years and we are running out of players.

Match result was pretty much a given, but jeez, that sucks for Joshy Wooden. Good honest player who had to produce a quality year to remain at the club, now cut down with injury, I hope he can hit back.

Jako amoung the Eagles best ?, well I guess that's better than last week.

expected result....would have liked a liittle closer tho.

a positive was that johnson kicked another 2 (out of 4) with what i imagine was limited unhelpful supply.

and the adelaide fans praised seaby who impressed against a strong ruck division.

i wonder were jako played? maybe as third defender..on a rookie?

Very bad fortune for Wooden. To make things worse he'll probably have to prove his worth for a few weeks with Subiaco before he gets back into the seniors
