Caffè for the big bodied inside mids but I would also like to see Adams have a crack at this so we get him in that hard hitting mind set early on, it will only improve his midfield skills.

Goldsack? He isn't slow, good pressure acts and strong tackles. Would beat most mids overhead too!

Maccafer did very well this year against some good players. I would say he is likely our best option.

However, I would like to see Marty Clarke given a go on some of the more outside types. I've heard that he is an elite runner. Might not have the burst speed for it, but this is probably his best chance to make it.

Could be a good option given the changes in interchange rotations!

Agree this is his best chance to make it. He did a good job on Stanton two years ago in an outside defensive role. The problem is, he can only really play defensively on outside types that don't have good speed (given he is so slow). There aren't too many of these. And when there are these, there aren't too many that you would need to put a tag on. And where there are, we tend to match up Sidebottom with them, who has similar endurance, but provides a little more offensively. If Sidebottom moves to HB (which I am not convinced of) then maybe Clarke gets a shot through the outside midfield, but unlikely until then.

Mart Clarke is an elite runner over distance but I don't think he is quick enough to be a tagger on a fast player, from my observations being at the grounds.
