I'm really reticent to get too far ahead of myself/ourselves but you know what heck it, sometimes you gotta live in the moment. Tonight I rocked up to my mates' joint downstairs to watch it with my friends here in Japan, loaded up on maccas and was prepared to sit back and have a laugh as we lost by 7 or 8 goals. We were all blown away by that first 20 minutes and by god we were flipping awesome, awesome.
We were gritty after that, kept up the pressure and defense, and man, we stuck it out and beat the only undefeated team, on their home deck and we have just as many reasons to be sore as they do after our last few encounters. Carn the Tigers!

So, again I still am scared to get too far ahead but, living in the moment, what do we credit our turnaround to?

Personally...
- Playing the new kids. Not just for their injection of youth and skill, but the change in mentality of the older players that have stepped up and wanna look after them. Dusty has been a different player since the kids came in, for example.
- 3 talls. My preferred set up at present is Jack, Vickery and Griff. I gotta say there is no way we are trading Vickery, at his best he is very good and we can't afford to lose him anyway.
- Lastly I think we've just clicked and everyone is playing their role better and we have finally "launched" into our season.

The bye has come at the absolute perfect time. Go Tigers, enjoy it fellas!

Quarter time against the pies

Richmond supporters are the most level-headed in the league as a result of too many false dawns.

However, there are a number of reasons to suggest this team has something. Hopefully it's an exciting year!
