Cutting the allowance means that players contracts are still honored but the allowance amounts will be included in the TPP.
In effect there is no phase out period.
Two scenarios.
1. Get rid off the allowance immediately means we can trade. The problem is that the contracts will still need to be satisfied. They will be satisfied by including the allowance amount in the TPP. So the TPP room left by the departure of ROK, LRT and Malceski will be filled by the allowance. This equals no ability to trade.
2. Don't include the allowance in the TPP and we can't trade. Self evident.
The phase out period is not real. It's just another illusion by the AFL.

Glad this trade period is over today after this bullshit ban.
To hear we might off had Ryder makes it more frustrating as he would of been a perfect fit.
If they make up some bullshit rule and take Mills/Dunkley off us , well go get farked.
This not being able to bring in players could stuff us big time , it might mean players that were due to retire ( Shaw this year ) and say Ted etc next might have to go on another year and if they fall of the cliff having to run around in the Neafl is a joke.
