I was for a few years, 4 in Russia(combined) and 1 in Taiwan.

Hi Don Fan, yeah, not sure why the Bombertalk mob were so touchy, I was simply stating fact!!
No I was just wondering about the overseas thing as I am probably heading away for a few years and wondering what kind of AFL scene you get in different countries. Obviously with the Internet it is much easier to follow the game (I think AFL.com has replays for every game??) But ideally, I would love to find a cosy little bar in downtown Singapore where you can catch up with some fellow expats and watch the footy

The replays on the AFL site are on 24 hr delay and they have the results plastered across the front page so it is hard to watch the game without knowing the score.
In Taiwan and Russia there weren't any bars to watch the games, although both countries did have a bar where they showed the Grand Final.
Singapore has more of an Aussie presence so you'll probably find a bar somewhere.
I have spent a bit of time in Singapore. It is a great country.
