good afternoon all and sundry...
i am an extremely proud tigers supporter, and have been for over 6 years, and this year i decided to move overseas to japan for a bit of an experience and some fun. so, as i left, i kinda made the decision to give footy the 'cold turkey' treatment, as it's caused me a few grey hairs and probably reduced my life expectancy a few years, as i'm sure you fellow rfc supporters can sympathise.
...but cold turkey ain't working! i've bitten the bullet and decided that i may need to get an afl.com.au overseas subscription, but upon reading a few of the threads open (thank you search function), i was a bit disappointed to see that it is far from recommended. does anyone have any suggestions? i mean, for me to pay $60 AU (which i'm glad to do...) i demand quality. i mean, i watch online streaming tv of shows such as lost, prison break, etc, and they are for FREE, and of supposed better quality.
money is not the issue. i want to be able to watch reasonable quality, as that is paramount for me. i am aware that there are a few 'underground' sites and whatnot, so if anyone could help me out, that would be MOST awesome. seriously. i am gagging for afl, even two interstate sides would be awesome! but most importantly, i would love to be able to get some richmond games, if not all. if there are less-than-legal sites around that provide this service, and have a subscription fee, that would not be a problem.
i have a pretty up-to-date laptop (about a year or so old) and have ADSL2 connection (8000+ mb/sec connection) and no bandwidth limits. man, when i return to australia i'm gonna miss that. i have no problems with any other streaming tv on the net, so i dare say it should be okay.
if some of this stuff is 'banable' or red-card material, a PM would be just as awesome...
i know it sounds like i'm making demands and all of that, so i apologise for my pushy requests. i would be so eternally grateful if any fellow tigers (or other team supporters) would help a jonesin' afl addict out...
thank you so much in advance. you guys may be my lifeline this year!!!
cheers...
