SYDNEY Swans coach Paul Roos took an unusual step last week, the Daily Telegraph reports.
With the Swans playing ladder leaders Port Adelaide and facing a 3-5 record if they lost, Roos let his senior players pick the team.
Roos said he would “absolutely” have stuck with whichever 22 the players had selected.
"It is interesting when you watch players pick the team, they really start to think, they begin to realise the implications,” he said.
“And then they look for reasons on why they should or should not play.”
