I was wrapt to see that Paddy Ryder won the NAB Rising Star Nomination for this Round, a great result for a great kid!

Great to see that the selectors opted not to follow the precedent of previous seasons by just handing the first nomination to the 1st or 2nd draft pick.

Excellent news for the Bombers too after failing to pick up any nominations in 2006. Hopefully this is the first of many in 2007, with Jetta & Davey showing early promise, & Gumby, Neagle, Houli & Co. all possible starters this season.

Great news, just another thing going right at the moment.

Should have confidence from his own performance, but to have others notice must make him feel pretty good too!

Can't wait to see Jetta live on Sunday... should be a great buzz in the Dome when he goes near it.

Houli looks good from what I've seen, not sure how he fared in the Frankston match on Saturday though?

he played pretty well. he was really good in the first half and he set up a fair bit of play.

in the second half he was a bit quiet but all in all it was a good game from basher. he would have been in bendigo's best players

To bad Lindsay Thomas couldn't have kicked 5 straight instead of 5 behinds or Paddy would have had more competition.
