Gallas and Ribery = yay.

We will have the fastest defence in Europe.

I just can't see Chelsea selling Gallas to Arsenal.

I'm sure he wants to move and all but they're very stingy when it comes to their title rivals. I think they might just let Gallas sit in the reserves as Arsenal may have to do with Cole.

I guess it really depends on how much Chelsea want Ashley Cole.

Ashton for England, id say its 3 months too late but I guess late is better then never.

If McLaren was smart he would play Ashton upfront with Harewood.

Good to see McLaren has finally gotten my message. :)

Hopefully he does well if he gets the call up.

Suprised you're not going with Anton Ferdinand instead to pair with Ashton there Embers. ;)

There are also rumours that we're after Owen Hargreaves (Daily Star) and we're still chasing Torres (The People).

Senna is supposed to have signed for United in a £4m deal. Apparently Diego Forlan convinced him to make the move.

We can only hope he will be as successful. FWIW he didn't play the firendly against Newcastle yesterday, neither did Riquelme or Sorin who have both been linked (very tenuously) with moves away.

Forlan in England, as ever = p00

A back 4 of Onuoha Dunne Richards and Distin would give them a run for their money. If we play Thatcher our chances diminish a touch. :)

It'd be interesting to see.

Toure is incredibly quick, as are Clichy and Eboue. Justin Hoyte is the son of an Olympic sprinter.

I say yes to a half time relay challenge around the ground in a few weeks time. Nedum is an England schoolboy sprinter, Distin is not too far behind and Dunne rarely gets beaten for pace (so long as he doesn't have to turn any corners). Richards is probably the slowest of the four.

If Thatcher was any slower he'd be going backwards.

I raise you Thatcher with Pascal Cygan.

We could have a plodders challenge as well. Start both before the kick off and have them run once around around the pitch. Hopefully both will reach the finish line before the end of the match.

If anyone has Foxtel on, apparently our friendly against Kashima Antlers is on, and Pearce has named himself on the bench. Could be interesting late in the game.

There not as fast as Christian "Flash" Daily

Anyway reports are that West Ham are leading the chase for Aldo Duscher and are having talks with his agent. A 4-5 million deal might be in the works. We need to get more bodies in next year if we want to build on what we did last year.

A report I read a few days ago said we may have to fork out $6.2M pounds to get him, so if we could get him for only 4 or 5 I would definitely take that.

IMHO, the holding midfield spot is the main weakness in our squad. Just don't like Mullins in there. Getting Duscher would be a big upgrade there.

6.2 is what they want, not what they will get. His contract expires very soon (6 months or a year forget which one), so they pretty much have to sell and use the cash to buy. The fact that Noble is being sent off on season long loan suggests someone has to be coming in that position along with a right midfielder.
